• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Keyboards Loved and Lost

Which paper did you work for?

I was a-turn-it-around-and-fix-it executive and published newspapers in three Canadian Provinces and eleven states before I retired.
My last job was as vice president for a group that owned newspapers and television stations. I was responsible for seven of their newspapers in Georgia.

All the jobs were interesting but my wife and I have moved 23 times in our 51 years of marriage. Last year I wrote a book about my 44 years in the business titled, "Not Extinct Yet". It is available from Barnes & Noble and Amazon. (sorry for the plug Lamont. Don't send me a bill for the advertising).

Memories..!!

remember them all and used most of them at some time. Restored old typewriters, guns and sewing machines for a time in south america where they are cheap and plenyful. Thanks for the visiual...!!

Man, I used all those, plus the Radio Shack Trash 80 model III, C-64, Atari 520st and Atari 1040st, and Apple 3C. I wasn't going to ever buy an IBM, but then they came out with super VGA and blew away the competition. Then on to Windows 3.1 and beyond. And somehow I got off the keyboard track and on to the computer track. My favorite keyboard that I use now is the Microsoft split keyboard called Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. For World of Warcraft I use the Logitech G13 gaming keyboard.
