KEY SYMBOL ON SCREEN

Several time lately my screen turns orange and displays the ignition key symbol when trying to start my 2014 RT SE5. The bike won't start. i have taken the key out and walked away to reboot the system. sometimes this works, sometimes not. It has happened both when the key was left in the ignition and when it was not. It may take three of 4 times to get it tarted. Anyone know what the problem is?

Not sure if this is the answer....

but there has been ignition swith issues with 2014 models - replaced under warranty.

Here's the thing..!!

there is a problem with the ignition switches on early production 2014's. Your dealer should know about it and should have let you know. Take it in and have it changed it can get worse...:gaah:

John, Try your other key...
If that one works okay; you've got a problem with the first key.
It the problem persists; you've got a problem with the DESS system... :shocked:
In either case; it's something that the dealer will need to take care of for you...
