• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

 I'm too chicken to guess at anything...
Lamont posted pictures of a key taken apart, and it was pretty clear that you couldn't hit the chip with a hole up at the top of the key.
The hole is actually already there! nojoke
Take a pin, and push it in at that spot; it'll go right on through!

That metal, wont it scratch? I had the same issue with my yamaha key scratching so i wound up getting one of those key chains that come part, like an air compressor fitting and super gluing the female part onto the side of my yamaha key. Actually works out really well cause i can put the spyder key on the same ring.

Lost and Found

Well rode to work and when I got home the holder was laying on carport in spot where I park. :banghead: So much for being observant. Thanks for all the help. Found that part number but could not believe the price for a small piece of plastic. RWC

Part number is #710001102
Bob

Responding to old message, but .......
I ordered a 710001102 to replace my lost scabbard/sheath (BRP call it a FOURREAU). Unfortunately, it does not fit the key to my 2008 RS SM5 :( Maybe earlier models had a fatter key?

Odd.... I looked up the part number for that for the 2008. It lists the same part number!

See here.... It's item 11.

Not sure what to tell you. Your key is a real can-am key correct?
Maybe there is some plastic flashing from the molding process that inside the holder keeping the key from going in?
