• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Key programming

I looked up the invoice. Purchased from Gearhead about 30 with shipping. Do a google on 529036106 and you will probably find other dealers as well.

Denver Key Clone

I purchased the apilla key but I have not found a locksmith in the Denver area that can clone it, they say they can read the original chipped key. I still had it cut and use it for a frunk key. Spyder dealer wont deal with it, they want you to buy a key from them for 35.00 and program it for 45.00. crazy crazy days

Tazzel try Englewood Lock and Safe on Broadway. They did a couple for me.$35 each if I provided the key.

Yes you can!
There are places that'll sell you the proper key blank with the correct chip in it.
Take that, and one of your oem keys to somebody who can clone them, and you're in business! :2thumbs:

"Hello, any idea who will clone a 2010 CAN-AM Spyder RT key in the Mesa/Phoenix Arizona area?"

Dan,
There's another way to do this...
Take one of your chipped keys, and get it cloned.
The bike won't even be able to tell that it's not an original key. :D
There's no limit to the number of cloned copies that you can have either... one is the same as any other!
It doesn't even need to be done by a dealer; anyone with the proper hardware can do it!

Have you called any of the dealers in the area? BTW you did see that this is an:oldpost: right? Most of these people aren't around any more.

Time for some tough love. In your other post about this exact same thing -

Clone key in Phoenix Metro
Hello I am in Phoenix, just got the blank from the dealer.
Are there any locksmiths in Mesa/Phoenix who can clone the key for a 2010 Spyder RT?

which was also tacked onto an old thread - you stated that you got this blank from the dealer. So I'l repeat myself:

YOU CANNOT CLONE A BLANK BRP OEM KEY THAT YOU BUY FROM THE DEALER. PERIOD.

In other words, just because you don't get the answer that you'd hoped to get, doesn't mean that you keep asking the same question over and over again, every couple of weeks. Now go back to the other post that you made and read the answers that you were given.

I'm out.
