There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Keeping replacement bulbs

It's my understanding that if a bulb goes out that the spyder may go into Limp mode, so because of this I want to keep a spare of each bulb in a little kit on my bike. I've figured out the Fender tip lights are 2827s, but I can't figure out the turn signals for front and back, the headlights and fog lights, the tail lights, and the bulb for the license plate. I am also aware that I can't just change to any bulb, originally I was going to try to change everything to LED lights, but I was told that is a no no. I'm not sure what bulbs I should be looking for. Any advice would help!

I've seen some H7 HID lights on Ebay listed for the Can Am Spyder, and I'm guessing those are a no no for the headlights?

Front Turn--- 7507--21W
Rear Turn---Phillips 12093RY 12V 10W M713 ( lady at Phillips could
NOT find there own bulb?)
NO ONE can find-Buy at Dealer!

Rear Run/Brake 2357 are better than 1157 because the brake portion is 20% Brighter than a 1157!!

License ? Changed mine!:dontknow:

Too funny

I went to 4 auto stores to try to find a spare spark plug...I ended up having to buy it on-line! It sure is difficult to get some of the common parts for the spyder!

Only bulbs if both are burnt out that will trigger "limp home mode" are the brake light bulbs. :yikes:

Even if both the tail light functions of those bulbs are burned out it still will be OK. But lose both of the brake lights and a "limping you will go." :(

The other bulbs (although a good idea to have handy) will not cause "limp home mode" if they go out.

I doubt anyone would have the patience to change a headlight bulb while on the road--- it's a real PITA. Just had to replace one of my HID bulbs and man it is ever tight to get in and twist those suckers to unlock them.

The fogs are really easy to change out.

I figure with HID's in the fogs too that if you lose a headlight you'll still have pretty good lighting and can fix it when you get home.

Be careful with HID kits from ebay. All are not created equal, nor are all 'plug and play'.

Good to know

That's good to know! Eventually, I'll replace them all with your light kits but for now I can't afford it and I just want to ride at this point! So, break lights will be what I keep a spare of, that and probably the license plate light (I think the police might be picky about that one).

You'll get Limp Mode if the second tail light goes bad. If you have bags (Givi, Corbin) go with NMN LED's.

Wouldn,t hurt to have turn signal bulbs as they only take a minute to unscrew and replace?

for that situation . . . .
