• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. k&N filter V Evoluzione

if i remember correctly, K&N is oiled right?
typically speaking, is oiled air filter is better at filtering dirt but non-oiled filter will let more air thru?
since mm's round driving light seems like good alternative to brp fog light, i am looking at mmg cold air intake with either of 2 filters instead of race air.

Yes the K &N filter is oiled. Given equal pore sizes in the filter media, one might assume the a filter wet with oil might trap more particles, but assuming is a dangerous thing. The oil might somehow negate a charge that would ordinarily trap more particles. Being the lazy guy that I am, I have the Evoluzione filter just for ease of maintenance. Wash, Dry, Reuse. Easy.

It's race air flow sysytem V mmg cold air intake + hi flow filter.
Do you think race air flow would still perform better than mmg+hi flow?

If you're running any type muffler, and you're not at maximum rpm, and you don't have the ability to dyno tune your fuel injection system AND your ignition timing, I doubt if you would see a performance difference between any of them.....

I will have juicebox and two bro or hmf to go with it.

I had race air flow before and yes it made very very noticeable difference especially with that thing (not juicebox) adds more fuel. Not to it's full potential as you said but better acceleration, definately.
I was trying to guesstimate or seeking opinion if mmg cold air with k&n would work just as well. I just want little bit more out of spyder without whole lot of money or time.:D

You won't see much more affordable performance until tuners like this make it to market.....

I would love to have PC. That's why did not buy juicebox last time I was putting my spyder together because they were saying it was being worked on.
I waited and waited but no pc for spyder but I waited with that thing adds more fuel as temp solution.

When I decided to not to get RT and start modding my gs, first thing I did was checked PC's website but it said pc for spyder was still under developement. They even have price for it but still not for sale.

You may be interested to know The Juice Box Pro adds a lot more adjust ability then the original JB.It has a number of the same things as a Powercommander. As well you can lean the mixture and download maps.

I have been looking at the new Juice Box Pro as well, and it looks very promising. If I understand it correctly, they actually did dynotest it with certain configurations and then pre-programmed those into the unit.

You may want to look for the Kewl Metal air intake as well as it is a wide open K&N air box replacement like the old hot rods used to run. That, along with the JB Pro may just be the ticket you are looking for.
