• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Küryakyn ISO Grips

I was thinking of getting a set of these grips to replace the one I damaged :opps:
Has any one fitted a set. Are they a trouble free fit and are the comfortable to use :doorag:

Most of us that have changed grips have these. They work perfect and I love mine. I have the whole set "foot/highway/pass" to match now. I now plan to get them powder coated soon. Look and feel great, I typically always wear gloves but now I when I don't, the grips are great, I hated the stock grips.

I've had these for about 7500 miles now and love them. They took away a lot of the bar vibration and reduced hand cramping drasticly. The 7/8 univeral fits perfect on the throttle side and just needs some tape wrapped on the left side. This was the first mod I did to the spyder and haven't regreted it one bit.

The 7/8 in universal work perfectly. If you glue the clutch side grip, like your supposed to you don't need the tape, the glue is included with the grips, but you have a heck of a time getting them off if you ever need to.
You might want to consider getting the throttle boss.

Another option. I've used the Kurys on other bikes. I prefer these on the Spyder:

Whats a throttle boss :opps: do I need it to fit the grips.

How do you find the heaters. Are they worth fitting. Do you notice them through your gloves :dontknow:

I wouldn't have a bike without them. Even though our winters are relatively short in Texas, they make a huge difference even with well-insulated winter gloves.

I've used the Symtec and Heat-Troller combination on my last 3-5 bikes and have never had a problem.

2 weeks agog, these were all over my town, yesterday could not find one pair of ISO 7/8s. Ordered my pair today with the 2 throttle bosses direct from Kuryakyn today.

I love the look of them, a little shiny but not too much chrome. Will match the black and chrome handlebar inserts and brake pedals I have from Kuryakyn as well.

Here is the throttle boss. I have one and its great!

Sorry guys, you will have to excuse my ignorance. But what does it actually do :dontknow:. Is it like a rest or does it rotate with the throttle. I have seen them in pics, but never in the flesh. Do I need two or do they only go on the throttle.

Are they easy to fit. And will they work OK with the metal grips.

You just need one, although the do sell them in pairs as well as a single. I guess some people want both sides to look alike. What it does is it turns with the throttle, and allows you to hold the throttle open with the palm resting on it. Allowing you to rest your fingers and still have full control of the throttle, throttle not locked down by some other device. Similiar devices are made that slip on the grip, don't look as good and take up more of the grip, I think the are called cramp busters.

Don't forget to buy the helmet locks for the ends.... worth the few extra bucks..

This i would not recomend. I know to many people (3 personally) more if you search the web who have used these and ended up having to find an allen wrentch to take them off and wearing them with the helmet as the lock refused to unlock.
