• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Based upon sales in the past year and factoring an average mileage of 10,000 miles ridden per Spyder (and we all know how low an estimate that is), that comes out to ONE MILLION MILES. Now, that my fellow ryders is many miles of smiles!!!

How many Revolutions?

OK, may some of the more mathematically-inclined ryders can calculate the number of total revolutions our rollers would make in 1 million miles??
Let's see: 5,2080 feet in a mile times (1 3/4" diameter times 3.14) times 1 million.....or something like that.

Congrats Doc on the success of your product.

I will have you replace the one on my F3 sometime this season and add one to the RTS if we find the vibration as aggravating as it was on the F3.

5,280 feet in a mile
63,360 inches in a mile
1 3/4 = 1.75 roller diameter
1.75 * 3.14 = 5.495
63,360 divided by 5.495 = 11530.48
So, 11,530 revolutions in one mile
1,000,000 times 11,530 = 11,530,000,000

Read outright it is: eleven billion, five hundred thirty million total revolutions.

But wait, (scratching head) there are two bearings, so that doubles the total per bearing to 23,060,000,000.

Without any bearing failures!
 
My Condolences on your wife's passing to a higher plateau. I do believe those with a trashed belt were talking about vehicle miles--not roller bearing distance.

So, how does having 2 bearings make the roller go twice the distance. That does not compute, unless you're using this "New Math" crap.
 
Still waiting to lasso one so I can make some measurements for the adapter they will need.

ST is samething as an RT. Just has a ribbed strap. (if you don't believe me, check the frame part #.) parking brake is electric as an RT. So not obstruction.
Wrote you on this a couple years ago, Doc. I installed one on mine.
 
Doc is gone from the site since 11/25/2018. Business also seems to have gone away. We are going to let this thread rest.

If Doc wants to come back to the site, he knows where and how.
