There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Just Wondering How Tall

My question is for the people who have the original Kendra tires on the front. Not looking for the tire size written on side of tire. How tall is the tire from the ground to the top of the tread? I have the General Altimax tires and wonder if they are the same height.

I just measured them ...Kenda OEM 15 inch = 22 3/8 on an inflated tire on the wheel ..... General Altima RT43 175/65-15 = 22 7/8 inches, this is currently on my 2014 Rt with basic style fenders ......I'll add the Vredestein Quatrac 5 ... in 165/60-15...( not mounted on a wheel ) .= 22 5/8th ..... Mike

Got this all messed up, that's what I get for doing it so early in the morning. I have Federal Formoza AZ01 tires on the front. 165/55R 15 75V. Just measured them, with 17 psi 21 1/8". According to the placard on the spyder 165/15R 15 is the standard size. You measured the Kendras at 22 3/8" and I am coming up with 21 1/8". There is a difference of 1 1/4 inch between brands? No wonder my front end is so low! Can anyone tell me how tall the Kendra Kanine Tires are? How tall are the Vredestein Quatrac 5 mounted on a rim? Need to get the 1 1/4 inch back!

As I stated above Q-5 in 165/60-15 = 22 5/8th ..... As to ground clearance, you need to divide that 1 in. X 2 = 1/2 in change ..... your spindle / hub is in the center of the wheel ...... Mike :roflblack:

According to the Kenda Kanine's publicity video (see youtube link below) their REAR tire is a 24 inch dia tire, and "the only approved replacement tire for Can-Am Spyders'!! :banghead: . The Technical Specs for the Kanine's shown at Powersports.Kendatire.com (see their link below too) shows the same dia for the rear, and lists their Spyder FRONT tires as being a 23 inch dia tire.... but I must admit I've never seen a Kenda Kanine in the flesh.... :p AFAIK, they are not (yet, anyway! ) approved for sale in Australia?! You can read into that whatever you like!?! :dontknow:

But do be aware that if you are measuring your tire's 'height' while they are mounted on your Spyder & resting on the ground, they WILL measure something less than their 'un-mounted diameter' &/or their stated specification diameter, simply because of how they deform under the load imposed upon them by your Spyder and they 'settle' a little onto the ground to provide a 'contact patch' that's usually at least about 2-3" long & as wide as the tread, rather than just a 'contact line' that's only a molecule long and as wide as the tread where the circumference of the tire touches the ground! :lecturef_smilie: And any difference in pressure will also make a difference in their diameter too! You've gotta be sure you're making an appropriate comparison, and comparing apples with apples, not just some black round things with any other un-specified black round thing! Of course, all this is just to make life hard.... ;)
