• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just wondering and concerned about our Ohio Ambassador

The link is Mickeys Facebook page, that's the best way to follow him.
Here's a pic he just posted.

Hey! Thanks for the concern! I'm doing fine, taking my time and exploring the world. I haven't posted as much here because I'm using my phone, not traveling with a laptop. It's harder to post pics and things. I am posting pics and stuff to the Facebook page since it's a quick upload. And I promise once I get back I'll post a full write up here.

It's been a lot of fun...so much so that I've put over fifteen hundred miles on it but haven't made it a third the way home. Went three hours out of my way yesterday to ride through Navajo country.

Yep. We put on 18,000 last year just going to the grocery store! :roflblack: :yes: :roflblack:

Glad you're having fun! ryde safe.

Doc - I haven't done it yet. I've been checking the oil and keeping an eye on everything. The advice I got was just get it back home and have it serviced there so I probably won't get it serviced on the road.

By the way, I fixed my Facebook privacy settings, so everyone should be able to check into my page as well as here and the Spyder Facebook page.

Thank you! I'm really enjoying it. I came to the realization that I had to let go and let the road dictate my trip. So I'm doing as much or as little as I feel like, and being open to whatever inspiration hits. It's so rare we get the opportunity to really do that, so I'm taking advantage of it.

I am going to try to hit Amarillo by evening for dinner at the Big Texan!

I hear you loud and clear. Due to my work schedule most of my rydes are heavily planned to be at a certain place at a certain time. While it is still many years off, I look forward to the day when I can just get out and go someplace without having a timeframe to stick to.

Dinner at the Big Texan! You sound like a man after my own heart. :2thumbs:

1,500 miles plus? Some of us lost the engine warranty for less...:yikes:;)

Mickey, there is an app for you phone called TapaTalk. You can get on SpyderLovers with that app and upload pics too. It may be easier for you working from your phone.

Awesome, Pincushion! I didn't quite make it tonight, just got to the border. Couple hours in Albuquerque set me back, but it was worth it!

Deb, I've got it, I just hadn't been using it until this morning. I downloaded it before the trip but hadn't had a chance to open it up. Works great, though! The pics were an easier upload than I thought.
