• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just want to say thanks

Ive been on harleys for 25 of my 45 yrs. I've been in chat rooms, forums and riding groups. I have never seen the friendliness I've noticed here. I just bought a 2012 Rt limited and have had alot of questions that have been replied to with kindness and respect even though some are probably dumb questions. What I see now is the arrogance and ignorance that I was part of in the past. I enjoy that there doesnt seem to be sense of competition on here. In the past it was always us on HD's putting down other brands of bikes and other HD's to make ours seem more " bad ass ". I got a huge slap of reality last week when I stopped to get gas next to a couple of " bikers " with really nice Harleys. When I came outside after paying there was a crowd around my Spyder and the " bikers" were actually pouting that people seemed to not even notice what they had. Thanks again for all the kindness I have been given here

Yes I agree there are some very fine folks here and very Knowledgeable as well. And they are always willing to help. I am guessing it has a lot to do with the average age here. For with age comes wisdom and compassion.

:agree: Been on lots of forums, this is the friendliest I've ever known. Great mix of riders from new to experience and young to still young.

We have bikes that are too new for arrogance and too complicated for ignorance. It is my firm belief that the nanny has a sensor for each and will wait to fart out a limp mode just when you wanted to look cool, thus requiring you to become quickly humble and then learn something. Safe ryding to you, and welcome.

That's one of the things I enjoy about the site as well. There are a lot of folks out there that know more than me and are willing to share their experience and knowledge. Folk here are wonderful.

Congrats on the Spyder!

"HarleySnobs"

I too rode Harleys for 12 yrs. Plus, I work at a Harley Shop. So I know all about their "pride" and sometimes arrogance of owning a Harley. Harley's are a unique icon in the motorcycle industry. And I might add I think justly so. Then I ride in to work one day on my RTS-SE5. The majority of comments and perusal have been absolutely positive. However, there have been the younger, "bada** bikers that do not acknowledge her existence. So what!! As long as I enjoy the absolute worry free, enthusiastic riding I do, it doesn't matter. And kudos to this site and members. Always helpful and encouraging to other members. I feel no intimidation to ask my "dumb" questions and always get respectful, and helpful responses.
