• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just so you 2014 buyers know

..there will be a Catalytic Convertor on the 2014 . All models prior to that do not have one they have a "primary muffler" or " resonator". Good luck with the heat from that. Another good reason to have a 2013

All Spyders with stock exhaust has a catalytic converter.

Are you saying the 2014's have a separate cat and it's no longer built into the muffler?

The original GS/RS models had the catalytic converter built into the muffler; the RT has always had a separate one.
Starting In 2013; ALL bikes went to the 991 series engine, (The RT mill), and had external cats...
2014: no change; other than the addition of the new big triple.

As I see it..!!

we have maybe two joe public views on the 2014 not enough to tell. Very short rydes in cooler weather, we have a long way to go before we can pass judgement and speculation helps no one...!!

Better check again there is no Cat show some proof if you believe it. Has anyone ever cut one in half? Just reporting what my dealer told me.:yikes: Show me a part # for a cat.

I not certain but I don't think there are many bikes out there that don't have a cat somewhere in the exhaust chain. Hells bells even the wife's Ural has cats on both sides. One of the many necessary "improvements" on the 1939 design. Frankly if congress wants to leave part of the "guvment" shut down they can start with the EPA. Back to biking.

Ride and ride safe,

The Ural gang refer them as runaway cats. Open the door they get out and just never come home.

Ride and ride safe,

I have seen it mentioned, that does not make it so. Maybe BRP is lying?:roflblack:

Seen plenty of Harleys running around this " Bike Week" around here with straight pipes. Where is their cat?

Don't know were their cat is, But mine is in the loft in my barn....:dontknow:

That's what I thought too but my dealer tells me different he wouldn't lie to me would he? He says it is just a muffler.

He may not have thought he was telling a story but he was.
