Sweet Pug
What a sweet face! We (spydercowboy and I) lost our Smudge at 15 also. As a puppy she had to have the ball of one femur removed before it broke off as it was badly cracked (she was a rescue); vet said tissue would form a false joint and she would live a normal life. Towards the end, you could tell just by looking at her that she was in pain and miserable because of the "false" hip -- never a word of complaint, though. During Smudge's life we had two different Dachsunds, neither of which liked the pug (go figure, mutual hate society). The last couple of years, Smudge really bonded with our "Deer Chihuahua" and we figured that little Abby would miss her terribly once Smudge passed. Boy were we wrong .... the "tormentor" (the second Dachsund, Daisy) wandered around the house for DAYS looking for her!
Sigh ... Pugs, in my opinion, are a unique dog and have a sweetness about them that seems to be missing in many other breeds.
Thanks for sharing your pictures .... Ann
His name is Odie. He was 15 when he passed away. I had him since he was 7 Weeks old. He was really cool. He had a personality! He could talk to you and really amaze people with how much he could do.
He was blind and deaf for his last year of life. We would physically carry him out to go to the bathroom. There was no problem knowing when to because he would tell you.
