• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just ordered RideOn

Well, I went back into previous threads and read up on the RideOn stuff a bit more. I went to their site and used the "lamont" promotional code and I ordered RideOn for both bjt and myself. I figure with all the riding we do, it is an investment in our tire life and safety. Also, if I am reading correctly, it sound like it is supposed to give you a little bit better gas mileage as well. All that adds up over time.

So, to those of you that have been using RideOn, have you noticed or checked your mileage or a difference in mileage? Any advice before we get our shipment and add it to our tires? Thanks in advance.

:cheers:what did you order. how many bottles.

I ordered The Ride-On TPS Auto formula Ride-On Tire Sealant for Cars and SUVs - Bottle
Promo / Redemption Code: lamonster
$49.49 for 4 16oz bottles and 1 spare 16 oz bottle for $13.45 This will give us enough for 2 spyders safely and a little to spare.

:2thumbs:im going to wait till i get my new tires

Yeah, I was going to do that too but decided to get some now and make these tires last as long as possible. If I can get most of the way thru this season with these tires and then get new ones, I'll be happy. I will get more ride on when I get the new tires and then maybe they will last even longer.

I told Brian I was going to rotate my two front tires as it seems one is wearing out more than the other (think due to circular entrance ramps in one direction only) but he said I can't do that because of the directional thread on the tires. So I am just going to deal with them the way they are.

Have you been racing up those circular entrance ramps again? :D

Don't just rotate tire and rim; need to remove tires from rim and swap...now the tires are rotating the same direction as before, but on different axles...:hun: Hope that makes sense...

Just put my Ride-On in last night. Got it from TeacherBob here on the forum and fellow Spyder :spyder2: rider. $13 for the 16 oz auto bottle plus 5% spyderlovers discount! 2 bottles take care of 1 Spyder:2thumbs:

I'm too lazy to search, what is RideOn? Is this an additive you put in your tires, kinda like the slime stuff I've heard about?

I gotcha don so if white walls are showing dismount then mount on opposit rim with white wall in and there you go. Right

When I put the new rims on my Spyder I went ahead and added Ride-On again but this time I left all the wheel weights off of the front rims. I had taken the weights off of the rear a long time ago (96 grams). So right now I'm running with no wheel weights at all and it's smooth as glass besides protecting my tires. It was a little lumpy when I first added the stuff but seems to have settled in now.

By the way I had 25,000+ on the front tires and they still looked great. I think you'll get 40K out of these. nojoke

Hi Deb,
The directions that come with are simple and direct. The first mile or so after you add it you may think :yikes: What have I done. This is supposed to balance my tires. I think it is more likely to shake them off. Then the ride smooths out and life is good again. I'm sorry to say that for me it did not make any difference in mileage. But then again the only thing that has ever really effected my mileage is ryding into a headwind. Other than that I get 30 mpg, one up, two up or pulling the trailer. :dontknow: Ryde Safe and Enjoy

I have just a shade under 12,000 miles on my Spyder now and I think both my front and rear tires look good. I'm shooting for 40,000 on all three.

I got up this morn, earlier than normal, as my spouse came back and said she had a flat tire on her car.........That and this post got me out of the procrastination phase and I ordered the Ride-On for the Car and my :spyder:, I guess your post and the flat bought this home and it is far easier to take off a car tire than the :spyder:The promo code sure helped too, thanks Lamont.

Yea flats are no fun at all. I mainly bought this stuff because of the way it helps to balance the tires. Don't know if it's saved me from a flat yet but it should. I think when I do wear out a tire I'm going to drill holes in it like they do on the video and see what happens. :doorag:

is this product something you inject yourself or is it typically done at a dealer ?...thanks

Easy to install yourself, you just need an air compressor.

If you use the code that Deb pointed out "lamonster" you'll get a 10% discount and I get a kickback to help pay the server bill here. I'm not promoting it just to pay the bills, I really do believe it's a great product and that's why I signed in for it.
