• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Chris, just wait till the Colorado folks post picks of roads to top of Mt Evans and Pikes Peak. Both over 14Kft.

How's that for putting some pressure on the Colorado Spyder Ryders. hehehehe

For those of you who have never been, here is kind of a cool view (literally) of 12095 ft in late spring....

Willy

Neat shot, Willy. I remember bicycling to the top of the pass in 1984 and again a few years later. (I also remember making the descent down through a thunderstorm.) I was younger and in much better shape. But Colorado is a great state for outdoor activities, and if you're a bicyclist the drivers are very tolerant and respectful.

I wish summer home in Aspen..... I was actually coming from the Aspen side on the way home from Seattle. The west (Aspen) side of the hill is much more fun to ride than the east side. I like this road and trail ridge as you can go from point a to point b and not have to turn around and come back down. Cottonwoods pass is also nice as one side is paved and the other is... well fun...

The little carrier is a Packit Rak. I had a receiver welded to the hitch, someone else had the Dixion folks make them an adapter to use with the packit rak.

Chris, I am originally from Germany and I miss the nice scenery you have to ride through.... I look forward to your picture.

Nice pictures. We have a couple of those passes around here too--but not quite as high.

Still waiting for Hatcher Pass to open to traffic. Can drive up to it--but not over it yet.

I have a house in Leadville, CO. Can't wait to go back up and ride the loop! Leadville, Twin Lakes, Independence Pass, Aspen, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, Glenwood Canyon, Gypsum, Eagle, Edwards (remember Kobe?), Avon, Vail, Vail Pass, Copper Mountain, then back to Da'Ville! End it with a nice steak dinner at Quincey's steakhouse in Leadville of course! :2thumbs:
