• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just one question

Does anyone with a 2014 or 2015 RT have anything they don't like about it? I have a 2010 with 55,000 miles that still runs good but was given a great trade in offer and need a little push.

my 14 rt is my second spyder, i had the 13 rt and the difference between the two are night and day. i have absolutely no complaints with the 14

Go for it..!!

push..!! there you go...congrats on your new ryde it's amazing isn't it..?? :roflblack: really with a good trade you should go for it...

I had a 2010 RTS manual trans with 42,500 miles on it in Sept I traded for a 14 RTL with shuttle shift. The 1330 engine is smoother running and I wouldn't go back to the manual transmission. Performance wise the 1330 has a little more pep. to it. I wish they had put adjustable front shocks on the 14 other than that I am pleased with the 14 The only other thing is if I had waited for the F3's it might had been a hard decision to make between the RTL vs the F3. I like the storage on the RTL. The F3 if u added the saddle bags/ windshield u will be in the price range of the RTL. You didn't say what you was looking at on trade in.

I have had a 2012, 2013 and now a 2014 RT, and i promise you the 14 is by far the better one in my opinion. Do the trade and you will be very happy, No Complaints here.

I Just recently purchased a 2010 RT. What kind of fuel milage should I expect to get?

Dudley, go for it! There is nothing that I don't like about mine and all of the improvements that have been made since 2010 are all good. Little things for you like the turn signal button is no longer such a pain to turn off, the display screen is orange not blue and is much easier to see, the gas gauge is pretty darn accurate. Those are the little things but the best is the 1330 engine.

Joe must not have had his coffee this morning! Don't expect great mileage on the 2010. I got between 25 and 27 on my 2010 RT. There is a thread with tips for new owners that you will find very helpful.

I also had a 2010 that I put 70k miles on...loved it to pieces and was determined I was not even going to consider anything until 2015...along came the '14....the minute I hit 'start' and heard/felt the engine I said do the paperwork. Dealer insisted I take it for a drive....and when I got back it was an absolute done deal. I got the '14 RTS SE6....besides the improved ride..the lower shifting RPM's, better gas mileage, and not using any oil. Yep I have no regrets .. and highly recommend the 1330 engine. Let us know what you decide...happy decision making...:yes:

I HAD A 2013RT......do not buy!!!! I traded for the 2014 and concur with other posts. The difference is amazing and I love this machine. I have ridden it about 5000 miles and had only one issue and that was a key problem that was quickly corrected when I first got it. (That was probably fixed with mid to late production models).

The difference in gas mileage is definitely noticeable.....approx 15mpg better than the 2013 not to mention less service intervals. Note that I am happy riding the speed limit. The SE transmission is so smooth I don't gear down now unless I need to stop quickly.

I love this machine ;););)

Went from a 2011 to a 2014, best Spyder decision yet! Too many reasons to list here, most have already listed.

:agree: x 2. I traded my 2010 off at 36,500 miles and don't miss it a bit. Quieter, peppier, better gas mileage, less maintenance can be added to the list also.
