• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just Installed SENA SMH10 Bluetooth Headseat & Intercom

Do you notice any differences/improvements with the upgraded unit?

As soon as it arrives I'll do the same test as well as compare the quality and let you know. I hope the crackling sound when using the intercom has been reduced.

Firefly,

Did you send in your old units first or after you got your upgrades??

cougar

You can do it either way-- they just hold a deposit on your visa if you order first and then send in old ones later. For $50 you get brand new unit, charger cables, car charger.

Have not used mine enough since being back to notice any difference--- just wanted the ability to do firmware updates in the future.....

Overall I love the Sena units.

I have used mine A LOT since getting the upgraded unit. Before performing the software upgrade I had trouble with my devices staying connected, and when they did re-connect, the audio was really bad. Dan told me about a software update so I went to the website and downloaded the software. Like he states, no time at all to upgrade the unit.

Now my unit is better than ever. I have my XM connected to the Sena with the A2DP profile, and my android phone connected with the HFP profile. I can switch between the two flawlessly, and the audio is clear.

I had the Scala Q2 unit before Dan and I started using these, and I have to say I do prefer the Sena over the Q2. I can not compare to the newer Scala G4, I've never used it.

Overall I am very pleased with the Sena unit and would recommend it.
