There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Just got word from Len that a tornado just hit Cuba

Cuba Update

Spydeejane and I rode through Cuba this morning between 6 and 8 am. Significant damage to post office. Several big trees down. Power slowly coming back on.
Unfortunately, one young lady was killed when debris pierced her car.

Traffic lights working again. A lot of cleanup to do, but returning to normal.

Read the thread title and my heart dropped ... Prayers to everyone in Cuba.

There is some structure damage and lots of trees down in Cuba. Power is off in places. We live on N. 19 and didn't realize how bad it was. I posted some links on Cuba MO Murals if you are on Facebook.

There is a pile of roof debris in the parking lot of Alps across the street from Hayes Shoe Store. Some of that debris injured a couple of people, one seriously. I hear that it is from the roof on the Post Office, which is next to the Route 66 Fudge Shop. I think a couple of 18 wheelers blew over at the truck stop on the highway. Len lives at Indian Hills, and I think the power was off there for awhile, but someone just posted on FB that it was back on there.

They are asking that everyone stay out of town tonight so that the workers and homeowners can do what they need to. It is dark in a lot of the area with the street lights and traffic signals dark.

Thanks for your concerns, and we will update tomorrow.

Was sorry to see the damage and that a life was lost. Looks like this may have been a straight-line wind storm....which can be as bad or worse than a tornado. Some strange weather happening around the country for sure. Hope you all are doing well and can get Cuba back up to the beautiful town we all love.

 to the familys of the injured and especially the young lady who was killed. Tornado or not flying debris can really mess up your day. Hopefully they will get it all cleared up real soon. I am sure that the Electric Co. will have all Electric up and running by now. the trees and other roof debris may take awhile longer. But Prayers to all.

Praying for all in Cuba and for quick recovery of lost power, it's no fun in this heat with no a/c or fans, especially for the disabled or elderly.

Sending out prayers for you and the family, Len, as well as the rest of the town. I passed by there about two am on Sunday and gave Cowtown a big wave.

I add my prayers to all the above. National news tonight, said the lady at food store was the one killed.

Cuba is in my thoughts! I think after my first Spyderfest in 2011, I became part Cuban. The people of Cuba are the most wonderful, warm and inviting people I have ever met. I wish the people and the town a speedy recovery. Please let us SpyderLovers know what we can do to help ease the trama and aid the healing.
