There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Just got my new clutch lever

Just got my new clutch lever from Motosplus and I love it. My wife is now able to ride the Spyder easier since she can adjust the lever closer to the handlebar for her smaller hands. Then I can jump on and move the lever out for a perfect fit for me. Not only is it adjustable, but it also comes in colors so I can really personalize my bike. I got a black lever with a black lever. Here is the link to the spyder talk forum.

Could you please post the width of the gap with the lever in the closest position? I have really short fingers and I'm hoping this could provide some much needed relief.

Thanks.

The lever is about two inches away from the grip at it's shortest setting. My wife has pretty small hands and it works great for her.

I too have small hands. The clutch mechanism on the Spyders have an adjustment wheel with three positions on it. Even with the wheel in the position that brings it closest to the handgrip it was difficult for me to operate. So, my dealer took the adjustment wheel off totally...this brought the clutch lever even closer to the handgrip. While this helped quite a bit the lever is still a bit too far out from the handgrip. The dealer also stated that we might be able to file the pin (that fit into the adjustment wheel) down a slight amount. That we haven't done yet. Right now my Spyder is in the dealership for its 6,000 mile check up; otherwise I'd go out and measure the distance between the handgrip and the lever. When I get the Spyder back on Tuesday I'll measure the distance and let you know. If the distance is greater than the two inches popbz indicated I'll probably try filing the pin down first. And if that doesn't do the job then I just might look into that lever from Motosplus.

It nice to hear that a dealer is thinking outside the box. :clap:My dealer didn't think much of my concern and said that was as close as they could get it - just the wheel adjustment. I like the idea of removing the wheel completely. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to remove the wheel?

OK... I just removed the adjustment wheel. There are two pins on the lever; a large one and a smaller one. Both are held in place with circlips. You need to remove the circlip from the smaller pin. That will allow you to tap the pin out and remove the adjustment wheel. I found it easier to remove the circlip first from the larger pin and remove the entire lever. I then took the lever assembly to my bench and removed the smaller circlip there. I used a small thin blade screwdriver to remove the clips since I didn't have a circlip tool. This did bring the lever closer, about 1/4", and it does feels better now. The remaining pin could be filed down; not sure that would help much more.

Found some pics of the lever. The guys at Motos Plus were very helpful and installed the lever for me in minutes. I am making my spyder look like the one they use as a demo. All of the goodies just look great together!
