• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just picked up my new 14 RT Limited. Got a great deal on my 12" RT A/C
Question is. I'm looking to see what others are using for their shift points.
I think the ECO mode sucks.

Thanks for all info you guys care to share.

congrats, and i just shift by sound.. you will see you don't need to shift as much as you did on your last bike because of the torque this bike has

:congrats: Which color did you get? :nopic:
For starters; try shifiting at about 2,500 rpm.
That'll get you in the Ballpark.

Congrats!

:congrats: on your new 2014 RT Limited! It's an AWESOME machine! I agree with Bob's comment on shift points -- a much different engine/trans than the 2012 you had! :D:D:D

Enjoy! :ohyea::ohyea::ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:

:congrats: On your new RT! You're going to Love the Upgrade!!!

I'm shifting around 2500/3000

You know the deal... :nopic:

:congrats:on your 14'RT, you will really like the 14'RT. I bought a 14RTS-SE6 in Cognac, end of July ( this year) trade a 12RTS-SE5 Blue also. I have 1748 miles on it.

The 14's are awesome machine, any one with a 14RTS-SE6 will tell you they are Awesome, less trips to the dealer, very low maintance. I did my first farkle, and it will be Unveiled @ Spyderquest ( next week). Deanna777

Forget eco..!!

Ryde normal the eco does little to help. Follow the manual or those who know...

I'm probably the odd man out here. I shift between 3000 and 4000 and try to keep the rpms around 3000 so as not to "lug" the engine.

:welcome: and :congrats:

Your gonna like it!

You already figured out Eco Mode. My feeling exactly.

I will give you a third set of shift points--mine are in the middle so far, compared to others posted. I like the feel and sound between 2750 - 3000 rpms. I am lately tending to shift at 3000 or slightly above. Bob and I have an ongoing thing about shifting. He does get slightly better gas mileage than I do though. :roflblack: My last two tanks have been 38 mpg.

Enjoy your new ryde.
