• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

just got a call

Bob D,

I've one favor to ask. If we ever meet up again, please do not pull out any pom poms and throw on a cheerleader's outfit. I just shiver at the thought.:joke:

hey people everyone has their own feelings about stuff. i for one think out of the box on different matters and trust me you will never understand my thinking nor change my mind unless i see that i made a mistake than i will fess up and say it.
this is a good forum so lets not ruin it with personal attacks, i am guilty of doing that myself but quickly learned it should be done in a pvt. and not on here. i learned something a long time ago about personality's when i was a foreman on a big job. if you have 100 people together working you will have 100 personality's and problems. so lets not attack each other on my posts.

100 personality's is tough john....on top of the three of yours....:roflblack:

But they DO sing a real nice three-part harmony; right?

looks like my new 14 rt will be here by wednesday or thursday, so looks like i will be doing some miles over the long weekend. he also told me to bring the stuff i bought for the bike and they will install them, was a pleasant call i got

This is John's original post. We sure digressed a lot from there. A one sided shouting match between an unhappy customer and Bob D.? :yikes::yikes:

John is John and he made a good decision--in spite of all the crap he went through with his 2013. I do believe that he will get some good Karma over this as the situation works out.

If the unhappy person wants to do a rant, why don't you start your own thread and "not pee on John's parade."

Sheesh!

lets try this again, i called the dealer and right now they are unloading 8 indian motorcycles from a delivery truck. mine might come in tonight or tomorrow. they have the Ron sway bar and hemi links so they will install them, as far as the comfort seat and the vented windshield they were ordered and i will have to bring the bike back when they come in to have them installed, right now the most important thing is that i have the bike for the long weekend if it comes in. now as far as my idea for the floorboard riser i want to make. the aluminum guy i went to has not called me to say if he found the flat stock to make them. so i had some 3/4 inch ply wood and i just finished cutting out 3 pieces of the template and i am gluing them together b4 i put some screws in them from the bottom to hold them together. i now need to find a friend with a belt sander to even them off and than i will seal them and paint them black and put them on the boards just to see if they will workout for me. my main problem is i really love the hand brake and for 1300 dollars and than have to install it i am really having a hard time deciding what i want to do. all in all i haven't been feeling all that well ( not your concern ) and today i went through my pill list and look at all the problems the pills can cause and found one, Furosemide 20 mg , that might be causing me to feel the way i do so i am stopping that pill and hope it is the one causing me to feel the way i do. if i start to feel better and feel i can install the hand brake i might decide to abandon the floor board idea and go with the hand brake.

so now we went from my original post to a argument post and now to a health post, so it is not just other people that can change my posts around, i do a pretty good job of it myself

Thank you for the update John. I am wondering if there is a mechanic type in your area that would be willing to assist you with the ISCI brake install--should you need some assistance.

Hope you can get the meds issue worked out.

Ron is actually a McGuyver type of an individual...
He's got a shop that currently does Laser alignments, but he's capable of way more than just that!

Jeez, I leave for a day to go to hospital and then up to pick up a new mesh jacket and all he@# breaks loose.:yikes: We got people saying that Bob is a BRP employee (Bob, could you please put in a good word for me up there with BRP, I could use a break on a new one when the time comes to replace the 2014 ;)) and the same guy jumping on Johns choice of a 2014 (hey, it's his money. You spend yours the way you want and he'll spend his the way he wants and we'll all go away friends)

John, if it was me, I'd just put the money into a new handbrake and stop fooling around with this experimental thing. You know that works for you and the cost is a one time shot. Just saying :spyder:

And what's the deal with dealers not being able to install the handbrake - car dealers do it all the time for handicapped people .

If you find one; please let me know about it!
But I guess that I DO have a pretty good friend, who works up in the snowmobile section... :D
