• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The blue one. 10,000miles. Mint condition! Thank you for posting the "Do and Do Not's". Reading that prior to the test ride of the Spyder made it MUCH easier and enjoyable! Actually got it for my wife, she wanted to upgrade to something bigger, faster and more comfortable from her Buddy 125 trike. I will admit that I will ride it from time to time, just to make sure all is well with it ;)! I personally ride a SYM CityCom scooter. I like fully automatic and step-thru ease. She will probably take this user name over, since it is her Spyder, but I just had to say what a neat and interesting and FUN vehicle it is!

Congrats

the mods will be more expensive and we all know you will ride it more than her. I too have a scoot and it still gets used, but the trike is the decently the longer ride bike of chose here in town.

Your sunk..!!

welcome..!! But you are sunk..:lecturef_smilie:your are doomed to become a two spyder family. Congrats on your new ryde even if it is for the wife. She will enjoy it and you will to, no doubt..!! :2thumbs: this is what happens when you test drive one....

Oh No!!!

You went and did it now. Its like a drug. You should probably check into therapy ASAP. It may help prevent you from buying that second Spyder for yourself. Its addicting. I'm on my second machine. The poor Kawasaki Nomad 1600 just doesn't get the attention she use to get. Welcome to our world. Congrats on the new machine.

You are gonna love it and so will your wife. Get some excuses prepared on why you need to ride the Spyder. You are gonna need em. I got the 2012 RT SM5. Everyone says it is one of the better years.

:welcome: :congrats:, yep....looks like your are going to have to make it a 2 spyder family.....happened here too....wife got her :spyder: and I have my :spyder:.....lots of miles and smiles....:nopic:....you and your wife enjoy it.

So I take it these Spyders are like cats, you cant have just one! Its the same with the scooters I guess, we have 4 total. Pictures are a different story, I need to learn how to post them. It's part being old school and part being stubborn! Everyone on the Buddy form wants to see the triked Buddy125 but I cant figure out the pic posting process, get frustrated, and give up. My wife is going to loose her mind when she see's all the crazy things she can get for her Spyder! I even see some things I would like-and I'm a boring stock appearance guy.

Congrats to you and your wife!!!
I traded up to a '14 RT L from a '12 RT S.
Love the '14 much more better if that is possible!!!
I also ride a 1980 CM 400A Hondamatic and a 1982 CM 450 Hondamatic.

I HAD A HONDA Silverwing before getting my first Spyder. Loved that hot 600cc scooter but the Spyder changed my life. Epeialy after inventing the Seal Floorboards and getting a more comfortable sitting position. I even made crude floorboards for my Silverwing.

Ride in comfort,
John

The first MANDATORY mod is gonna be cup holders! Can't live without my bicycle water bottle with water and she needs something to hold her Pepsi. I need to get on that-ASAP! She will be looking at accessories, trust me. I was looking at a Silverwing at one point but the sales guy made the wife mad and that ended ever going back to that dealer again. Got the CityCom for cheap from a friend at work. Has been a little tank minus a lot of rattles and weather wear, it's the workhorse/beater. Got a full cover for the Spyder until I can make space for it in the garage.
