Does anyonehave this PROBLEM :dontknow: Foot on brake, Cluch in, Switch in run poisition,Press mode button, press start button and nothing..............
sometimes 10 min Is there a was to avoid all that nonsense and just start it. Pretty P.O. ed Only a week old
Are you pressing the mode button on the dash or on the handlebar? The Mode button on the dash is notorious for sticking and that will keep your Spyder from starting.
Thank Ill try with cluch out But today 4 differant times It happened:spyder:I first thought it was the key mod I made But that wasn't it VERY FRUSTRATING
maybe he should have gotten an se5...they dont have those problems u know............ZINGI don't have the clutch in when I start the bike...
I just sit on it, take off the emergency brake, put my foot on the brake, turn the key, hit the little tab on the left handlebar (to get past the message thingy), and hit the start button, and I'm good to go...I'd be surprised if your Spyder isn't starting...haven't heard that one before. I leave my bike in neutral when I shut it off...you can start the bike in neutral or in first...you might want to leave it in neutral...with your foot on the brake you'll have no problems...
Don't use the clutch...make sure the bike is in neutral...see if this helps...

yeah and what i think is funny is some people think the se5's problems are due to novice users....riding for over 20 yrs does not mean novice to me...Nice try...this is not a manual/auto problem...all the issues with the SE5s are gear/brake based and are specific for the bike...and there are loads of them...this is likely user error or simply a random problem...it'll get resolved without weeks in the shop...watch...
I like the spirit though!

no i was referring to other people not u....and i was just jokin with ya to begin with, i know the 2 arent related. it was just a jab at u since u make a habit of pointing out se5s are trouble...it was a friendly jab, no harm meant...just a little fun at ur expenseI was referring to this gentlemen's issue...not your bike...I hope you don't think I was being rude to you...to clarify...the SE5 has problems that are mechanical in nature...the issue with starting the bike is likely not a manual vs. auto problem but is more-so driver error or something simple...
