Just curious where are you staying the night before Lamont's BBQ? MV or Greenville?

Some Girl and I are staying at the Comfort in MV Friday night and going to the BBQ Sat morning.

We plan to leave for home from Lamont's and get a few miles in before finding a place to stay the night.

We have the same plans to put a couple of hundred miles under our belt after the BBQ.

I'll be staying at the Castlewood Inn in Maggie Valley until Saturday morning, then leaving for Lamont's Barbecue. I would love to ride with someone. I'm staying in Greenville at the Charray Inn and leaving Sunday morning to head back to Iowa.

I'm looking forward to this trip!!

I booked us for Thursday and Friday night a couple of months ago at the Parkway Inn located on Dellwood Road about 7 miles from the Fairgrounds.

Today my wife asked me where we were staying and when I told her where and what the rate was, she got very antsy about the place.

In retrospect the cheap rate should have made me question the quality of the place.

Anyone know anything about it? Anyone else staying there?

I'm organizing a group ride from the Comfort Inn to Lamont's leaving around 11:00 on Saturday. We may adjust the time depending on when Lamont has the food coming. We don't want to be late as Spyder riders seem to have big appetites.

I have a room with two queen size beds and another couple might not go so I MIGHT have a Bed for some one to share the room my wife and I are going up Thursday Morning and leaveing Sat Morning will let you know as soon as It gets closer to date if its open but I suspect it will be 90 % chance their not going pm me if you want to know if its open its $ 68 plus tax I believe a nite thanks Rich

Hubby (Tobor 9) and I are staying at the TravelLowes Tues thru Sat nite. See no reason to change hotels for 1 night - repacking then unpacking for 1 night then repacking to leave Sun morning (just my humble opinion!) We will be leaving MV and going to Huntsville. AL for a couple of days to visit my aunt. Will be leaving Huntsville tues and driving straight thru back to Charleston. I better stock up on the 650 milligram ibuprofens!!! That ride will be a test to see if I could eventually make the ride to Spyderfest.

We'll be at the Alamo Motel, arriving Wednesday the 12th and we'll leave Saturday morning to Lamonts. We'll head out back west after Lamont's, we've got an invite to a friend's house around 3 hours away from Greenville, so we can have a good head start Sunday.

I guess we'll all set up our groups to head to Lamont's Saturday, the ones staying Friday night in Maggie Valley I mean...hyea:
