• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just beginning to look - - - -

Where do you live?

Hard to say - - - ;)

The wife and I live in Wichita, KS. Currently, I am in our other home in SoCal getting it ready to re-rent. But, the wife and I are from Ft. Worth, TX. So, we are very familiar with the North Texas / Oklahoma/ southern Kansas area. Greenville is not too far out of the way.

That is a very good price. The MSRP is $28K and some change. The dealer is legit.

Thank you for the input. I do not expect to purchase anything for a while, probably after the first of the year or late spring (Kansas stays too cold until April). It will be interesting to see the price for any leftovers at that time. I am not very knowledgeable about these Spyders, but from what I have read the 2015 RT-S hasn't changed from the 2014.

Joe T.

It's a good price - about what I was offered for the "S" when i bought my RT SE6. Ask for a deal on the BEST warranty as part of the deal.

just beginning to look

I bought my new '14 RT from them a few weeks ago. They are for real!
They will pick you up at the airport - take you to the dealership and have you on your way home in short order.
Very nice people to deal with and no hidden charges!
I am a happy buyer!!

A bit earlier this year; the Base RTs with the SE-6, were only a couple of hundred bucks less than that!
GREAT price! :2thumbs:

Before you do the deal on line give the good people at Marine World in Wichita a chance to earn your money. I was talking to them last Monday and they are expecting the 2015's in Jan/Feb. They should have some leftovers on the lot and be willing to deal. I bought my 2013 from them in May this year. Unfortunately for me they loaned me a 2014 RT Limited while they checked the fuel fumes on my bike. I think they did it so I would get excited about the new bike and trade mine in. They could have loaned me a used 2 wheeler just as easily. Long story short they are worth talking to and you can keep your hard earned money local.

Are they the folks on east 54/400 between 143rd and Andover? I wanted to buy some West Systems Epoxy there and they were high as a cat's a$$. If they are a dealer, I was not aware of that. I have never seen a Spyder at their boat dealership.

HUMMM, just checked them out. They are west of 235. I was not aware of them. I thought the only dealer in Wichita was Rusty Eck Ford.

Thanks for the tip.
Joe T.

One more HUMMM - - - -

I guess Rusty Eck is no longer a dealer.

Hey, was just emailing back with my dealer on this one, they noticed my post about paying the full price on mine last month. They thought that was negative, even though I mentioned I'd rather spend more for local.

Seriously though, mine was 24 plus dealer delivery/prep whatever for an SM, so I'd guess I paid 4k more, based on the $1600 option for SE that i didn't go for.

Generally, I'd call it $$s well spent to support my local dealer. Drop the cost of getting to Texas and back, or having it shipped, and then being last in line for service because dealer (rightly so) gives priority to people that bought the bike at the dealer.

Nowadays I shop the dealer closest to me for cars and bike, 3 years into the car the dealer still gives us a loaner at service time, or drives us home and picks us up if we don't want a loaner.

Marine World was affiliated with Rusty Eck Ford but they separated a few years ago. They are located out on West Kellogg/US54 just past the exit for the airport on the south frontage road. Their address is 7979W Kellogg Dr., Wichita, KS.

Tom,

Thanks. I found them online.

Didn't Rusty Eck Ford have the Spyder dealership two or three years ago? I could have sworn we went by their dealership, to some side building, and looked at an early Spyder.

Marine World was at the Ford shop years ago selling Boats, and accessories as well as ATV's. I don't remember the Spyders but that's not saying they weren't there.

Good luck on your hunt.
