• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just a question...

Most of you know Bruisersbaby drives a 2010 RTS SM5. Lately she's been experiencing this icon (!) on the dash. This is the same icon used for the parking brake but it shows up on the center main display where a code would show, and sometimes the parking brake indicator will flash at the same time. It will go away after a few seconds. She first had it last Saturday on a charity ride. We had a 20 minute stop and when she started the Spyder up for the next leg this icon showed up. As soon as we started moving it went away. There are no codes. Brakes work good, stop on a dime and give you 9 cents change. Brake fluid is where it's supposed to be, no leaks. Just had it serviced and the dealer said everything was good. It was hooked to BUDS for the service. This is an intermittant occurrence. Today we were sitting in line waiting to get gas, her foot was on the brake and the icon started flashing for a few seconds but then went out. The only thing the OM shows is VSS or brake failure/low fluid. Doesn't happen while driving. So, has anyone else seen this?? I'm going to check the wheel sensors to be sure they're tight. And this did start before we had it service. Any ideas???

On EBD FAULT VSS malfunction *Have the vehicle transported tothe nearest authorized Can-Amroadster dealer.

BRAKE FAILURE Low brake fluidlevel or faulty sensor– Check for brake fluid leaks.– Check brake fluid level andadjust (see
BRAKE PEDALFLUID VERIFICATION).

On BRAKE FAILURE Faulty parkingbrake orcomponent Check fuse no 3 (see

I did see that in the manual. Bugs me that this is an intermittant problem. And bugs me more that we're this close to Spyderfest and this pops up.

Could be a slow blow by leak in the master cylinder plunger. When you apply the brakes the hydraulic pressure would be normal but as you hold the brakes, say at a light, it would slowly decrease causing a low brake fluid level indicator warning. When you start up again all would be ok as the the fluid level is actually ok. This should be looked at if it is the case as it will only get worse.

check your parking brake and see if theres somthing like mud or debree, holding the parking brake a little making it show on your dash mine did and i cleaned it up and works fine now,

Question answered...

Made it a few days without the (!) indication. Then today we were on the way to the track for our 2 1/2 mile walk. Looked behind and BB was motioning me to pull over. The display flashed Brake Failure. I pulled up C0045. Going to take it in first thing in the morning. I drove it and the brakes worked fine. I had to make a panic stop for an idiot running the red light. Blueberry stopped on a dime but due to sequestration, I didn't get the normal 9 cents change.
