• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A few weeks back on my 3000 mile trip something weird happened, we were gassing up at a station, i was on the Harley and my wife was on the Spider, we are 15 miles from home, when she tried to start the Spyder it turned a few times and started kinda rough, the dreaded limp home message appeared on the screen, i tought my trip was ruined, i told my wife to shut it off and try starting it again, it started normal with no problems and the limp home message was gone:clap: i said what the hell, lets risk it, we rode 3000 miles with no problems and the message never showed its ugly face again, what happened there???
PS,,,,, my brand new Harley broke on our way back 180 miles from home:opps::opps::opps:

Limp Mode Home is not a problem. It is a symptom of something else going wrong. So unless you can tell us what warning lights where on at the time or the active codes. There is no way to actually know what caused it. Your dealer can hook up to BUDS and read the codes that have occurred and maybe figure it out from there.

Hicups...!!

I have had this happen after a stall from hard braking. While ryding shut her off removed the key then coasted a bit put the key back started her up and the limp home was gone. After a lunch break the check engine light went off as well. No codes and all systems worked fine. I call them hicups in the system. I do my own maintenance so know that all levels and limits are fine...in the end no one knows...watch for codes and warning lights...

Limpish behavior

I did take my bike into dealer after three limp modish behaviors -with no warnings or displays. Initially no codes showed, I drove it away and it promptly did it again. This time recently released BUDS and the code U0259 appeared 11 times. It's been almost two weeks and still don't know what is wrong

new rider and missing my bike :/

Mine ran fine for 3000 miles after the incident, have no idea what caused it, it was the check engine light and the limp mode message, hope it don't happen again

My first Spyder was a 2010 RT that I bought with 1,500 miles on it. I picked it up and rode about 100 miles spent the night and the next morning as I backed out of a driveway it went into limp mode. I turned it off and back on and it went away, I rode 450 miles home and never saw limp mode again in the 59,000 miles I put on that machine. Hopefully your wife will have the same experience as I did.

Is that not why they make the commercial, with the adventure flick in the background and finally the cat come's to eat the POPCORN, ( cialis )

Limp mode is nasty, but will not leave you stranded. had it happen to me about 30 mile from home on a 4 freaking lane highway, rode the shoulder all the way, with flashers on , into the dealer next day. Was kind of pissed it happened but glad got home. So in a round about way, it does work well, but frustrating.
