• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

 i never gave this one any thought before... Did the dealer have any ideas as to why your seal came apart?
DEFECTIVE?
SERVICE MANAGER GAVE ME A NEW GAS CAP AND SEAL OFF A SPYDER IN THE SHOWROOM
DEF. WAS THE SEAL NO MORE SMELL IN THE GARAGE EVEN WHEN I FILL TANK TO THE TOP.

SUPPOSED TO HAVE A RUBBER GASKET IN THE CAP

I checked my gas cap, I didn't find any seals, walruses, or any other marine life.

IF YOU HAVE A RT, IT SHOULD HAVE A RUBBER GASKET IN THE CAP. WE CHECKED 3 RT IN THE SHOWROOM, ALL HAD THE GASKET. I WOULD ASSUME THE RS HAS IT TOO BUT WE ONLY CHECKED THE RT Z IN THE SHOWROOM.
DEALER SAID GASKET CANNOT BE ORDERED SEPARATELY, THATS WHY WE CHANGED THE ENTIRE CAP.

There has been some gas caps going bad rather quick for some reason.
This might even have caused some of the fires, who knowes.
If your stock cap gets loose & give off fumes get your dealer to replace
it with a cap from a commander 800/1000 atv. These will tighten up
better & wont viberate loose. The cap is part of your emission control
& should carry a longer warrenty than the spyder factory warrenty.

The tank vents through the tipover valve/pump/gauge sensor assembly, as I recall. I don't remember a separate tipover valve/vent as some vehicles have. Vented fuel caps are no longer legal under US emissions regulations.
