There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Well, my wife and I went Spyder shopping today and finally got to ryde a Spyder! :cus: it was one :cus: of a :cus: ryde!!!!!!! I don't think I can wait til we get one we can call our own!

I got to test a 2016 RT SE 6. WOW!!! The salesman led the way on a new F3 and I followed. Went on city streets, then out on the freeway for about a mile and a half, then back on city streets again to the dealership. About six miles all together. I WANTED MORE!!! That is one smooth machine!

When we got back, I was on the verge of offering my first born and at least one arm and maybe, just maybe both legs, but thankfully, I came to my senses........what few I possess. I did refrain from answering the inevitable question, "do you want this one?", in the affirmative........but it was an epic battle with my inner self. I regained control and reminded the salesman, and myself, that we were only interested in a used one.

The only one that was an automatic and that we were really interested in wasn't ready so we will be back Wednesday to check it out. Got something else to do Tuesday that my wife seems to think is important for some reason or another. Go figure! We're also keeping our eyes peeled for any others that might be of interest. Come on Wednesday!

Good thing you are waiting until Tuesday so you can calm down and maybe negotiate a good deal. I bought my first Spyder in 2010 on EBay. It was also 4th of July and I sent the seller questions and he didn't respond until after the holiday. I was going crazy waiting.

Was that an RT, Ann, and how long did you keep that one? If it was, HERE is a "First Ride Review" that should bring back memories... :ohyea:

BoilerAnimal, congratulations on entering the world of the Can Am Spyder. You're gonna love it!

Wow
Now you have me waiting for BRP to build a flying Spyder :clap::roflblack::roflblack:

I take it the :cus::cus:'s are positive expletives?

:congrats: on enjoying your first ryde. I can't wait to hear that you got one of your own.

Congrats. ..

Sounds like a great first ryde. If you really liked that one but looking used make sure it is a 14 or newer. Pretty 14 has the V-twin engine and a bit different ryde...:lecturef_smilie: good luck, I'm sure you will be out there soon.....

God luck on your purchase.Glad your first ride went so well.Took me some time to get use to it but love it now.

A small town in Fulton county. Part of Forgotonia. That's a throwback to the Sixties! My sixth grade teacher's son was the self proclaimed governor of Forgottonia, Neil Gamm.

I took my 1st ride on an RT just the other day. LOVED IT! Going to rent one for a day and take my wife to Galena to see how she likes it. We both have had hip surgeries, mine a replacement(which is why I gave up 2 wheels) and hers some shaving. If all goes well, I'll have an RT-S next April.

You will love it so will your wife. I have a 14 RT Limited and we ride all the time. She wouldn't ride on my 2 wheeler, but she loves the Spyder. In fact she just got her license and now she wants one too.

Did a few "Ironbutts" on my roadglide. Like you, my wife didn't feel safe riding with me anymore. To tell you the truth, I didn't feel safe riding with me! Sold the "Glide" 8 years ago and have been missing it ever since. I miss our annual trips to Door County WI. Can't say enough about the RT. What a GREAT alternative to 2 wheels! Can't wait!

My wife doesn't want much to do with two-wheelers, either. She does feel comfortable with a Spyder, howevwer, and we look forward to lots of riding, hopefully, very soon! I took to riding the Spyder that I tested like a duck to water. Granted, it was only a little over six miles but it just felt natural.

Just curious. How was your experience buying on eBay? Would you do it again? Anything to watch for? Only things I've bought off eBay have been model railroad related, my other hobby.

Welcome To the Spyder world!

My first spyder was a 2012RTS-SE5 ( with the 998 engine) then I upgraded to the 2014RTS-SE6 Cognac ( bigger engine, more power, 6 speed, low maintance, 1330 Ace triple, etc. ) WOW!!

I am not looking back, I use to ride 2 wheeled motorcycles ( as a passenger) you will get a lot of people asking you questions no matter where you go.

:nopic: when you get the spyder.
Have you signed up for the "Spyderhomecoming 10th Anniversary" in Valcourt, Canada , June 2,3,4 2017?

Unless your Rich and $ is No concern Now is the time to slow down a little and Check for leftover models with warranty or Even different dealerships to test drive another Spyder and get multiple offers before you just jump into something you "Could Have " got Much Cheaper? Welcome to the Roadster Riders!
