• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

32 years ago today a drunk driver ran a stop sign at the northern intersection leaving the island of Key West and smashed into me on my Yamaha XS 500 motorcycle. Fortunately I had a good helmet which saved my life, but my right leg was almost severed, I had compound fractures and third degree burns on my right leg, my right foot was crushed, both of my lungs collapsed, I had four broken ribs, my left wrist and thumb were broken, I had second degree burns on my back, I had a vicious concussion, and major soft tissue damage over most of my body. I was in the hospital in Key West for three months, the Naval hospital in Jacksonville, FL for two months and the Naval hospital in Bremerton, WA for over a month. I had a dozen major surgeries. I was told they could save my leg, but it would only last between five and eight years. It was almost two years before I was able to walk again without a brace and crutches or cane. But, here I am, more or less intact. Happy 32nd Survival Anniversary!

Your signature says "I may be old but I got to see all the good bands" it could say "I almost didn't make it to Old but I'm glad I did"

You must be a very strong person to have made it through all of that.

From another survivor, who is enjoying another chance at life, congrats on the 32nd anniversary of your rebirth! God bless the talented doctors and surgeons that have kept us ticking.
