• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

JUICE BOX Wiring help needed

Sopher

New member
I'll call NMN on Monday, but if Evan or others know the answer, please do tell me...

I connected the juice box per the instructions (Yes I took off the 6 bolts that hold the air box and slid up to reveal the right side injector. and Yes I did find the left side injector behind the "bosch" labeled unit.)

BUT when I turn on the ignition to test as per the instructions I get the error lights on the juice box... flashing green on 1 and flashing red on 8. Instructions signify a wiring issue.

I have the longer juice box injector cables going to the LEFT side and the shorter jucei box injector going to the RIGHT side. The long O2 sensor goes along the right side behind the panels. (that plug was very difficult to disconnect)

Please advise.

If the 2 lights stop flashing after start-up, you are ok. Mine flash till the Spyder is actually STARTED and then they scroll for about 2 seconds and then stop. My Bking did the same thing when the ignition key was turned and not started. I think the wording in the instructions should have been a little clearer on this issue. I did the same thing and saw the 2 lights flashing and thought something was wrong, till I started it up and then it was good. Hope this helps some...

:agree:
The lights will scroll until you start up--then they should lock in, as per instructions. If you heard or felt the "click" on the injestor plugs, then you got a connection--My rear connector was a little difficult to seperate also, but sounds like you should be ok. Good Luck.:f_spider:

G&#sh Da&m it! The JUICE BOX instructions really suck. I really despise instructions that leave OUT very critical information. It's not any bodys fault other than TwoBros. Bad pictures too!

Thanks VERY much for the video link! Yes that is exactly what mine does.
I wasted SO MUCH time! I ripped the airbox twice and rerouted JB cables twice... all for nothing! Tested are re-connected, thinking I had broken wires or something.

So instead of me just complaining, I WILL WRITE MY OWN DOCUMENT that other Spyder owners may follow.

My Profession is IT. I write technical documents nearly every week. example: I even make those technical documents easy for a retired nurse to install VPN software and securely connect to a hospice SSL-VPN network and transmit hospice care data.

I do similar writing technical labs in order to provide practice/experience with poorly documented and also complicated software. We are also adding annotated video how to demos for some of the stuff we cannot even afford full lab equipment for in our classrooms. RTFM does not cut it anymore.

UPDATE

So I wrote MY OWN INSTRUCTIONS and included pics and the Chart with settings that Lamont came up with.

I sent the PDF to Lamont. He will post when he returns from LA.
I you want the PDF, let me know.
