There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. JThornton - We need a Dash Mount bracket for the F3!

Really could use a bracket like the RT Dash Mount for the F3 to place a ball mount above the gauges. IE to put the GPS between the gauges and windshield.

It would be similar in design, just shaped different to use the mount screws on either end of the gauge cluster. Or other screw locations if it works better.

Can you get me a photo of the dash?

NUTS!

Here I was excited because I did not pay attention to the OP. I thought it was J T who had bought the F3 and we would have a dash mount forthcoming. Maybe even now we will have it. Consider my order placed!

The screws on either side of the gauges look like a promising place to mount a Dash Mount. I think my local dealer has a F3. I'll pass by there and get some measurements and see what I can come up with.

the JT bar is a must have

Not getting an F3....but I agree a JT bar is a must have....get out the tape measure JT and GET BUSY...all those great F3 owners need your bar.:yes:

Look forward to what you come up with. Above the gauges would be much better line of site to GPS than in the center of the handlebar. Ready to order....

I went by my local Can Am dealer (they are brand new) and looked at the F3. The instrument cluster looks like I can make a Dash Mount no problem. My question is the two screws, what size are they and are they strong enough to hold the Dash Mount Bar? The dealer would not let me take their F3 apart lol.

They are the same M8 screws with T30 torx heads that Can Am uses so many places on the bike. In this case about 2" long. In the photo above you can see the bracket for the windshield at that bolt. The black thick cap on the end, the bracket behind and the gauge cluster behind that. The bolt provides squeeze to hold the half moon shape bracket behind the end cap. Dash mount would need to go on the outside of the cap not to interfere with the windshield bracket attachment. Hope this makes sense. Wish I were closer and would just let you take mine apart and have a look see.

I was looking at the screws I circled in blue, are you talking about the screw circled in red?

The ones you have circled in red could work I suppose but I was thinking the ones circled below in yellow that go in from the sides:

The ones you have circled in blue are small and only threaded into the plastic housing. Would not support the bracket well. The ones you have circled in red or the ones I have circled in yellow are both threaded into metal clips or structure.

One more pic with a better view of the end of the cluster mount:

One of you two need to change something in your username, I'm getting confused on separating you. roflmao

I can see in my mind how to make a mount to fit over the dash now. Thanks for the photo. Approximately what is the distance from the outside of the two caps?

JT

15 3/8"

Looking forward to seeing your idea come to life. Let me know if I can be of any help.
