• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Having done my research, I finally wrote a check for a 2011 RSS-SE5. So now I'm reading the manual and watching Utubes. If anyone has suggestions for accessories, or have some to sell, feel free to contact me. Actually, any advice would be welcomed. I am interested in buying the service manuals. So if some can point me in that direction.

Welcome. You can purchase the service manual on Ebay. There are a couple of companies that sell them. One is Midwest Manuals.

:welcome: and :congrats: on your new ride.

I recommend a thousand miles or so before adding a lot of accessories. That way you will find what you like and what you may want to change about the :spyder2:.

You have come to the right place for all things :ani29:

I second that, best advice possible. It will also give you an idea what your priorities should be. I've got a 2011 RS and I rode it for 3000km before making any changes (stiffer swaybar to improve handling). Find out what you don't like first and you'll then get plenty of good advice on this site on the best way to sort it.

Welcome..!! Welcome..!!

to both the roadster world and this site..congrats on the new ryde..!! :2thumbs: as stated you need to get some miles under your belt before you go shopping..and shopping you will go..!! Just need to find out what you need first (safety and comfort) and what you want (bling, bells and whistles). Enjoy the ryde and be safe..!!

Www.brpmanual.com will sell the service manual. It is in Pdf format so you can't print the pages you need or you can carry it to the bink on your tablet. I had it for my 2011RSS and then bought it for my 2014 RT.

:welcome: & :congrats: on your "new" RS!! :thumbup:Plan to come to Spyderfest next Spring and you'll find all kinds of farkles to buy!

Waiting makes a lot of sense. First thing is to build a garage, too many toys.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!

:congrats::welcome: I definitely subscribe to the school that says don't mod too early.. ride the bike as is and give yourself a chance to attend events to see all the stuff. On my first spyder I mod -ded early and by the time I finished I discovered a number of things I wished I had done differently
on my 2012 I took my time and on my 2014 its slow work in process...

welcome pitzer

nice ride. it looks like you're ahead of the game with all the goodies already on the bike.

Hi from the UK ,
I also fell into the trap of early modding but luckily did a fair bit of research on this great site at the same time .
I actually found my 2010 RSS to be rather scary first off , coming straight from two wheels , the handling was interesting to say the least . First thing I added was a handbrake , second thing was a Ronbar , these are still my 2 favourite things and have totally transformed the bike for me .
As mentioned , the best thing to do is just get out there and ride .
Have fun .

Mike .
