• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Jaguars burn to. Dick van Dykes Jag burst into flames on interstate. Passersby got him out of the car. No injury to him.

ONE Jag in a few hundred thousand burns.... i'd say the odds are on my side... i'll keep my Jag, and i'll keep it in the garage too....
visit any junk yard, and you'll see most every model car has burnt down... this is being advertised because it happened to Dick VanDike...

Years ago one of my brothers had a lawnmower burn, setting a nearby field of wheat stubble on fire. The fire dept. came and put it out. The picture on the front page of the local paper had the fireman hosing down the burnt hulk of the lawnmower. I got the color image from the paper and made t shirts with the caption "NOTHING BURNS LIKE A DEERE"

Any vehicle can burn if there is a fuel source and a heat source. A gas like leak or spilled oil or electrical arcing under the hood can start the ball rolling. If the gas line catches and the key is not turned off, the fuel pump will keep the flames going.

English electronics...

although they are made in India now (I believe) but even when Ford made them the electrics were nightmareish. Have had several English cars and that was always an issue...maybe better now maybe not..:dontknow:

Old jaguars and other Brit cars

In our BMC club were many MG's, Austin's, Jag's, Triumph's and assorted other cars that all used Lucas electric components. We had Tee shirts made with the logo. "Lucas, prince of darkness".
