• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just wondering whats been done, Using ATV jack with Halo LED's what mods have you done to keep from damaging the lights?

DAMAGE

The jack should ONLY contact the frame......if the lights are in the way ........MOVE them ! ! ! .........Mike

I babe the halo kit and I use ramps up front and a jack under swing arm to raise the Spyder. I don't see how one could use an ATV jack with the halo kit

Use some of the big square rubber bumpers that stick on. Can find em at Lowes. Clean the frame and stick a 4 on the frame. Two on each side of the LEDs at the jacking points. Use you Jack to line em up. This will create a "channel" of safe space to prevent crushing of the LEDs during lifting. Be sure to get the hard bumpers not the squishy ones.

Alternatively, try attaching some 1" furring strips to your jack that will also simulate a safe channel for the LEDs to prevent crushing.

Not much..!!

hard to modify the atv jack..ramps or or blocks work. Don't have them but seems you could position them out of the way..:lecturef_smilie:

Protecting the Halo lights with a wood block...

I use a wood block with a channel routed in it to protect the Halo lights when lifting the bike.

So far it has worked fine and I even got the dealer Tech to use it once during a service...
