There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Jacking point for rear wheel

When placed in the garage for winter storge, I would love to jack up the rear to move it over so as to allow more room for the car. Is their a safe point to jack the rear?

Caution..!!

best go just in front of the rear shock on the frame. That shock mount is not the best point and has the potencial to cause damage to the mounting system.

I place a floor jack under the rear shock mount.

The service manual specifically states not to jack it up using the lower shock mount. I believe that my RT had been jacked up in that manner, when I was replacing my rear tire recently I took off the lower shock bolt. Had to cut the bolt off to get it out, it had been bent fairly badly.

Now these replies have answered my question. Where to put the jack. All great suggestions, thanks so much. Really a big help.

or if you have a scissors jack in you car, use that and place it under the frame towards the rear... then do what the other guy said: get those HARBOR FREIGHT thingees.... http://www.harborfreight.com/1000-lb-vehicle-dollies-2-pc-61283.html

Hi,
It looks like you have an ST up in the air. I have an RT with a Bump Skid. I don't think I could do that. I would have thought placing the jack where you have it would be lifting from the steering linkage instead of the frame. I lift the RT from the right side near the drivers foot peg

As I recall reading here, the problem is not the mount, but the bolt is made of mild steel and bends easily.
