• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

jack or no jack for ride-on install

I'm going to jack mine up when I get around to installing the Ride-On. Not sure that its necessary though.

When I was installing Ride-On it was a cold day.
I found that putting the bottle in the microwave for about 10 to 15 seconds made the stuff much easier to get thru the tube. nojoke

Oh, and I didn't jack.

Well I finally got around to putting my RideOn in today and I did not jack the Spyder up either. I know I said I was going to but after seeing a few reports of folks saying they didn't and watching my wife put it in her Spyder without jacking it up, I figured I would too. It saved me probably 10 minutes in dinking with the jack and whatnot. I probably spent 25 minutes doing it start to finish but I had a problem getting the valve core out of the rear tire stem. It was in there fairly snug and the valve stem is almost perfectly aligned with one of the spokes on the belt sprocket making it difficult to work with. :( Then my air chuck / gauge seemed to be plugged up and was only allowing about 20psi into the rear tire. I finally got that straightened out and things went very quickly after that. That first ride was a bit rough in spots but it eventually smoothed right out. I ended up riding about 45 minutes until it felt really smooth.

After reading about RideOn I am going to do mine as well.. I have search the internet in the hopes that I could learn a little bit more about thie product, and it sounds as though it will fit my needs but I have a couple questions about it----Does RideOn come in differant blands? What I mean is I saw a bottle marked on the internet that said MOTORCYCLE but it is used in a lot of other vehcles, so I am assuming that you installed the RideOn with the bottle labeled MOTORCYCLE right? Also, will one bottle due all 3 tires or do I need to get 2 bottles? This is a lead for my next question,, How much goes in the front tire and how much in the rear tire?
Thanks for the help I plan on getting this soon and I like the microwave idea..

Here is one of the previous spyderlovers threads which I think answers your questions.

For the Spyder tires the distributor recommeded the automotive formula. Each container is 16 oz. Once you decide what dosage you want front and rear you will know how many containers you need. I put the severe dosage, 13/F and 17/R, so I bought 3 containers. If you go to the Ride-On site, you can contact them and they will give you the phone number of the nearest distributor. My distributor had me go to his house and he installed the Ride-On for free. Since installing the Ride-On in January, my tires have not lost ANY air. And that's 5000 miles later.
