• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Saw this in Lynchburg, TN at the Lynchburg Hardware store. You can buy anything that has to to with Jack Daniels except Jack Daniels! Dry county. This was displayed on the 1st floor. Not for sale. Bacardi Rum uses these barrels as well. They buy them second hand from Jack Daniels, for their fermenting process and has something to do with the flavor of Bacardi. Don't know if is still done today, but that was true a few years ago.

You can buy JACK at the distillery itself. About 10 minutes from downtown. For $5, you can get the bottle engraved. Awesome tour. Tom :spyder:

Didn't know that! Didn't go on the tour this time. Had been on it with the hubby (Tobor 9) a few years ago and at the time you couldn't buy it in the bottle anywhere! However, you could go into town and buy candy and other food items with JD in it, and go to the restaurants and get lunch with JD in the hamburgers (Whiskey Whooper) and bbq and desert!

A sad thing I found out. Most of the restaurants use JD flavoring in their genuine JD products. Not real JD. TGI's is one.
