Keep in mind, no one person can make another person angry or upset. The person who becomes angry or upset has allowed himself/herself to become so. No one can entice or force you or me to react in any particular manner. We are the ones who control our reaction. If you allow another person to cause you to be upset or angry you are ceding control of your emotions to that other person. Do you really want another person to control you?
I try to live by the philosophy, "If a fence is going to be built between you and me, you have to do the building."
if someone frequently posts things that bother or offend you, just put them on your ignore list. problem solved.
Nobody ever said, "Censor"; least of all me...
I just wanted to remind folks to keep in mind a few common courtesies, when you think that the other fella is completely wrong about tsomething, and you know the ONLY correct answer...![]()
Cool... :2thumbs:
Do you have any topics that are considered to be off-limits?
There are several in here, that seem to get threads pulled pretty quick...
And I've got to admit, that I have never read Lamont's warning about these topicspps:; I suppose that I should be doing that right about now!
I really don't see a need for not allowing certain topics... but I see an ABSOLUTE need for folks to respect the other guy's opinion along the way...
...Which can be a real problem if you just KNOW that they couldn't be more wrong...
So... is it better to take some topics off the table, or try to allow for unfettered discussions; limited only by everyone's desire to treat the other guy in the manner that they'd want to be treated?
Been doing a lot of watching and thinking. Sorry about that. :roflblack:
I personally do not like the idea of banning topic x or topic y. Common sense and decency should be a part of what gets posted though--IMO of course.
Lately, I have let some posts go by without any comments--mainly because I did not want to become part of a firestorm either pro or con.
If things get personal, then I think one should think twice or more before hitting the send button. I wont use the ignore feature, because even though I don't agree with everyone all the time, I still find valuable information and commentary.
not to get personal but....did you order YOUR 2015 F3 yet? :roflblack:
