and if the truck that was delivering the Spyder to my dealer would have gone directly from AZ to NV I would have been on one even before Hal. But it took them almost 2 weeks to get here and I was busting at the seams wanting to share but I was told I couldn't say anything. I just received word that I am free to share my experiences with and post pictures of the 2014 RT Ltd that I have been riding.
I've put 850 miles on it in 10 days and it is awesome! It had 1,300 miles on it when it arrived so it is still in the break in range (not for long though) I have gotten between 31.6 and 32.6 mpg and the longest I went on a tank was 180 miles (low fuel light came on at 172) and I took 5.7 to fill it. I'm encouraging
my friends with older Spyders to trade up so I don't have to stop for gas with them!:roflblack:
The temps here have ranged from the high 40s to the high 60s and the temp gauge has stayed just south of halfway. The reverse fans kicked on when I was idling for a long time (on purpose)
The ride is smooth, really, really smooth. I do not see any need to spend any money on upgraded shocks. I'm not sure yet if a beefier sway bar is in order but I'll get a better idea on that as we are supposed to be pretty windy in the next few days.
Love the extra power. Still not a fan of the semi auto but I'm wondering if all the extra shifting will make me regret getting a manual.
I've got the flat grey color and while not something I would buy it is much nicer looking than I had expected it to be. The fit and finish seems to be really good. I do believe that this is a production model but I am not 100% sure on that.
I did find that I had a little trouble opening the oil filler cap but it is still so much easier than removing the panel. For my hands it was just a bit awkward but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Good for you, Ann! :clap::yes:
