• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I've been on a 2014 longer than Cruzr Joe!

and if the truck that was delivering the Spyder to my dealer would have gone directly from AZ to NV I would have been on one even before Hal. But it took them almost 2 weeks to get here and I was busting at the seams wanting to share but I was told I couldn't say anything. I just received word that I am free to share my experiences with and post pictures of the 2014 RT Ltd that I have been riding.

I've put 850 miles on it in 10 days and it is awesome! It had 1,300 miles on it when it arrived so it is still in the break in range (not for long though) I have gotten between 31.6 and 32.6 mpg and the longest I went on a tank was 180 miles (low fuel light came on at 172) and I took 5.7 to fill it. I'm encouraging
my friends with older Spyders to trade up so I don't have to stop for gas with them!:roflblack:

The temps here have ranged from the high 40s to the high 60s and the temp gauge has stayed just south of halfway. The reverse fans kicked on when I was idling for a long time (on purpose)

The ride is smooth, really, really smooth. I do not see any need to spend any money on upgraded shocks. I'm not sure yet if a beefier sway bar is in order but I'll get a better idea on that as we are supposed to be pretty windy in the next few days.

Love the extra power. Still not a fan of the semi auto but I'm wondering if all the extra shifting will make me regret getting a manual.

I've got the flat grey color and while not something I would buy it is much nicer looking than I had expected it to be. The fit and finish seems to be really good. I do believe that this is a production model but I am not 100% sure on that.

I did find that I had a little trouble opening the oil filler cap but it is still so much easier than removing the panel. For my hands it was just a bit awkward but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

:yes::yes:

Good for you, Ann! :clap::yes:

GREAT!!! how long do you have the 2014? I'm glad you are liking the improvements.....that is why you are riding everyday.....keep us posted to what you think...hey BRP call me...I'll test ride a 2014 RT

You guys are cracking me up. :roflblack: Do any of you remember back in October or November of 2012 when Lamont posted a thread asking how many miles we had on our RT? Well from that I got an invite in January of 2013 to test drive a 2014 RT and I was beside myself with excitement and then two days before I was supposed to leave they cancelled the event. :mad: I made a point of keeping in touch with the guy who sent the invite and told him to remember me if they did it again and I'm am thrilled that he did.

I am sorry that the truck had to stop in California first, but glad it did :yes: I am on week one at about 475 miles.

I agree with how smooth the ride is compared to my 12, and I too do not think it needs the RonBar, but I am not an aggressive rider. The seat is lower than my 12, and does not seem to be so top heavy. My daughter can now hold onto the passenger grips without slouching down, and her head is even with mine too. The seat is very comfortable too. Like I said, I am not an aggressive rider, but have upset the nanny twice now (not my norm). The second time I did the same turn (into my work parking lot), and noticed I took it faster than I normally do. It was windy last night and this morning, and it was better than my 12.

I am on my third tank, and so far my readings are: the first tank (might not have topped of the same as the second tank): 5.107 Gal for 153.1 miles with no ECO mode (29.97 MPG) shifting at 4000 RPM. The second tank is: 5.734 Gal for 181.4 miles with the ECO (31.63 MPG). I took mine to the light for the second fill-up, and it too was at 170 miles. I do not prefer to use the ECO mode, but that is just me. I noticed that the ECO shifts at about 3200, so I think I will do just that on the fourth tank after the third tank (in ECO mode).

I have not checked the oil yet, but will when I hit 500 miles, so maybe in the morning. I won't tell you what color mine is, as I don't want to make you sad, but for those that want to know. Scroll down.

BlueStar if they had sent me the white RTS they might not have gotten it back. I've got the Limited and I'm not a fan of chrome or the color. If you tell me yours is an SM, I'm coming to trade you. :roflblack:

I do not care for the new chrome (brushed :dontknow:) that they are using, but that is just me. Okay, I won't tell you ...... SE6. Also mine had 4775 (ish) miles on it when I got it. Does yours have the back rest? I wish mine did.

Only 850 miles in 10 days......

Just leave Joe at home so you aren't wasting all the ride time waiting for him to get ready.;)

I can't believe that you all sided with that shifty woman, :yikes::yikes:

Here i stand an honest man. And everyone sides with the cute chick.:banghead::banghead:

Life ain't fair, OK BOB, now are you with me or that woman????????????? nojoke :roflblack:

Cruzr Joe, this will make you feel better, the test bike doesn't have the GPS or the luggage with it. I guess they figure us testers can't be trusted. :roflblack:
