• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I've added an Upgrade to my Oak Floorboards!

I've added Chrome diamond plate, looks a lot better I think. What say my Spyder friends?

You did a real nice job, they look good. Is the block under the brake pad to make up for the thickness for the board?

Now that is sharp! I think I might have gone with a darker finish, or maybe one of those colored stains to coordinate with the color of the bike itself, but it does look great as it sits. The diamond plate isn't overbearing like I see it in some of the steel floorboards out there. Are you planning on making detailed drawings and instructions available for us lazybones out here?

Haven't had wood on a vehicle of my since my 1952 MG TD…. Out here in the Northwet, they might last a season…….

Do you have plans for these

It ALWAYS pays to check the date on the first post in the thread, AND the dates on the last few posts even if you don't read the whole thing (but you probably should... ;) ) and in this instance, those dates will show you that this thread began and was last posted in waaaay back in 2013, so :oldpost:

And as an aside (altho it doesn't strictly apply here... ) there's no real point in ever asking a question of posters who now show in a thread as having Red or Grey usernames, as they are no longer active on the Forum. ;)

But if you really want to know about these oak floorboards, then unless btcherm is still subscribed to this thread & does happen to see your post & reply, you might want to try sending a PM or email - just click on the username alongside the first post and choose your preferred option.
