• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It's OK to get excited...

About your new Spyder.

Whether it's a gleaming new 2014, or a 'New to you' 2009, there is nothing wrong with getting that giddy feeling.

There is no 'Perfect' experience in life. Surprisingly, it can be those least perfect experiences that mean the most. And somehow, it ended up being a great time anyway.

Motorcycles are about adventure. So you have to be ready for it.

Chances are you're going to have a great time on your 'New' Spyder. The good ones far out number the ones with issues. But if you do have a problem, there are a lot of us here more than willing to do what we can to help.

Spyderlovers isn't a forum so much as it is a community, a community of friends and Spyder loving family (if I may go so far).

We don't always agree and we've got our 'Crazy Uncle' or 2 that we can't keep in the closet, a few that get grumpy and some that have honestly had some very rocky experiences. But in the end, we get together (Spyderfest, Lamonster's BBQ, Owner's event, etc.) and enjoy each other more than we can say. And in-between we ride one of the best machines out there with (usually) a big smile!

So, get excited whether you're getting a new Spyder, or if you're like me, still riding the 2008 GS that got it all started.

It's very much OK!

That is great. Ron you have always been there to help me and others. Many people on here have made it possible for us to enjoy our bikes more, and save maintenance fees. I thank all of you and wish everyone a safe and Happy Holiday!

Thanks

Ron that was a breath of fresh air after some of the things I read this morning. Thanks for all you do, and thanks. For my Thermo Suits.

I was actually thinking of you when I wrote some of that. Hard for me to ever complain knowing what you've been through. My hat's off to those of you who have stuck it out through thick and thin!

Merry Christmas to all!

:agree: . . . my Spyder isn't exactly "new" anymore, but I still get excited, every time I crank that engine up! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Ron!

Still riding my '08 GS and still excited. Took a nice 70 mile ride thru the desert the other day and still got that old grin on my face.
Merry Christmas Ron, and I'll see you at Spyderfest
