• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It's Official no 2014's till January

jmho..having been here a relatively short time I have noticed an increased lack of parts and inability to maintain a proper stock. This is a supplier issue cause I hate to think it's a factory and dealer problem. Nonetheless I would venture a guess that they are having supplier problems. New parts new machining testing all have to be done as production starts. Who knows where all the parts come from to build these machines once ordered into production and if the same parts come from one or many suppliers. ( hence some issues on one yet not another). Have been there it is not easy your product is dependant on many manufacturers...hope they can get them out in reasonable time and at least let us know.....

No one but BRP knows what the real problem is. Could be design, supplier capabilty/ capacity, internal assembly problems, or some of all of that. If they manage the launch planning properly (certainly not a given), supplier quality and capacity would be verified BEFORE production starts.
No matter what the cause of the delay, it is better to wait until the problems are solved for BOTH the customer and BRP. Don't forget that the 2013 problems were VERY expensive for BRP let alone irritating the hell out of many customers. I would bet my 401k that they are gun-shy about repeating the 2013 fiasco.

If there's a problem of any kind, I'd rather they fix it before they bring them out. I mean, January instead of November...so?

My dealer (Fredericksburg motorsports) told me on 5 November that delivery to them would be Jan-Feb. I for one don't see much advantage to releasing any type of a (primarily) fair-weather vehicle at the beginning of winter. Color me unsurprised and unconcerned.

I waited 9 months to take delivery of one of the first 5th generation Camaros; this is nothin'

Another possibility is that I was told that this release BRP is going to supply all their dealers around the same time. If that is true then they have to build a boat load of Spyders to ship.
Could be the "WHY" it's taking so long.:yikes:

I got an update from my customer service guy at BRP on Thuirsday and he said my RTS-SM6 is still scheduled to be built the end of January. No change on that. Which makes me think that they have not stopped the production line but it also makes me wonder what they are doing with all of the completed machines. Are they sitting out in the snow in Quebec in crates?

I ordered my 2013 RT-S the day after (Monday) BRP came out with the 2013's in "D.C.". I was told at the time I'd have my spyder by November. I got it December 28th. There was a fella down in Kissimmee that got his just about a week or two earlier than I. This delivery date was normal.

2014 till January

Is worth the wait, let them make sure is right before they hit the street, yes a minor incontinence but you don't want to be the one finding issues in your brand new ride..

I can't help but notice that they've picked pretty much all of the highest-ticket items ast "must-haves"... :dontknow:
(HIDs, and GPS notwithstanding)
What's wrong with chrome handlebar end-caps???

All 2014 accessories will be available at your local dealer and online in February 2014.

I hope that doesn't correspond with the arrival of the actual bikes.

Hopefully; that'll give all of us a Month to walk around the bike going...
