• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It's Moving Day!!!

I had to say "G'Bye" to an old friend today too...
They say that you can like somebody for their strengths; it's their weaknesses that will make you love them.
I feel the same way about motorcycles.
I've owned a lot of them in thirty-five years; I've only loved a very few...
My 1983 Gold Wing Interstate... that weak-kneed, underpowered,head-shaking thing carried me for over 50,000 miles...
There was a 1989 TransAlp... too funky for it's own good, yet it STILL did everything pretty darn well!
A 1982 Suzuki GS450TX a real cheap little tooter that I turned into a pretty capable touring rig. Small and underpowered; I put over 10,000 miles on that bike in one year... the most ever for me!
And then there's Fawkes... He's had a deposit put down on him... I hope; no... I wish that he brings the lucky folks that get him at least half the happy memories that he brought to me and Kathy... Folks told me that he had no low-end power, that he'd empty his battery of electrons in about a day and a half, that the clutch plates would melt, that he revved too high, and that he might set my foot on fire...
And not a bit of that mattered; nor did it ever happen!
So I went looking for him... and found him in the dark...
I guess that i'm just an old softie  The pictures are blurry because my hands were shaking, and I had something in my eyes...

YOu've sure earned a spot in a heated garage! :2thumbs:
The spirit of your ryde follows you, from vehicle to vehicle. When a lobster molts and grows a new shell, it is the same lobster . . . sort of like reincarnation . . . Fawkes is patiently waiting for you to take your first ryde to become firmly implanted in the Cognac Spyder . . . nojoke :congrats:

I sure hope that you are right...
Fawkes was a real "game-changer", for Kathy and me!
We got back to prowling the maps, and finding backroads that we hadn't travelled in years...
The sights, sounds, and smells were back!
And the folks that we've met...
I can't even BEGIN to tell you what that has meant to me!
But I suspect that you already know!! :D

:congrats: Bob on your new :spyder2:. When did you say "Spring was going to get here. :roflblack: 39 Degrees in Vermont and cloudy. Deanna777

We hit 40 today; just long enough for me to scrape about three inches of :cus: off my Liberty! :gaah:
39 is riding weather; IF the roads are in decent** shape...
Ours ain't! :banghead:

** Free of mud and rock salt, no runoff from the snowbanks into the road surface, and the Missus has decided that it's okay... :D

Congratulations!

You will love it!
Let the farkling begin! You have plenty of winter to finish up!
I imagine the first mod is studded snow tires.....!

We've got another whole week of Polar Vortex weather coming through (again)! Wife's new RT-L isn't here yet, but I guess it's just as well.:banghead:

I got off the phone with Fawke's new owner at 4:25 this afternoon...
I told her all about this placel; but she had already found it on her own...
Her Husband rides a triked Harley...
And I'm happy to know that the bike has found a good place to be, and some great folks to start building fresh memories with! :2thumbs:
