• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

it's great ----

we get 200 plus posts to a carry concealed thread and only five or six to every Christmas thread! what's this site coming to???:roflblack::roflblack:

Yes, but there are 5 Christmas threads to the one concealed carry thread. And I would think that most people are celebrating with their families and not looking at Spyderlovers too much this morning.

I'm just taking a break from the "Shristmas Story" Marathon...
...Started last night at Midnight; I've already seen it three times!
That; and the Missus threw me out of the house so that she could get some cleaning done! :D

That's three more times than I have seen it. I saw something on the news this morning that the movie has a real cult following. They also say that people like the Sound of Music but I've never seen that one either. I'm more of a Bad Santa fan!

That WAS a good movie...
I'm just not sure that I can watch it without feeling.... :D

My All time, Top 5 favorite Holiday Season movies:
1. It's a Wonderful LIfe
2. Christmas Carol... the 1999 version
3. Christmas Carol... the 1951 version
4. Christmas Story
5. White Christmas

Were pretty close. Saw It's a Wonderful Life last night and enjoyed it again. Also like the old B&W versions of the Christmas Carol. JMO on the newer versions--Patrick Stewart as Scrooge is one of my favorites. What's Christmas without the Christmas Story?--many of us grew up in that era, and lived it all.
Did you try Christmas Story 2 yet? Same stuff, but through the eyes of the teenager Ralphie.

I'm familiar with five versions of the "Christmas Carol " story.
1938: Compared to the others; it's a bit simplistic. But viewed within the context of when it was done; a wonderful job!
1951: My second-favorite version. They seem to do a better job dealing with the Spirits who visit in this one...
1970: (Scrooge) Better than nothing...
1984: I thought that George C Scott would have done a better job... :dontknow:
1999: Two words: Patrick Stewart... :2thumbs:
