This is absolutely nuts. Vintage film of race car crashes. No roll cages or seat belts or any safety gear. Simply amazing footage! I wonder how many of these guys died! And, the fans and camera men are right beside the track ... crazy!!!

And the speeds were slower...but unprotected air travel and landing surfaces were just as hard...:roflblack: we've learned a lot from those guy' s:thumbup:

the last were pretty close to home, late thirties, early forties coupes, Ace of spades/40 ford. Chicken wire is a "great Safety barrier". Do not remember where, but a race car went way up in the stands killed 74 (I think) people. Standing close to the action was cool or crazy
