• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It pays to be a nice guy`

When I was on my flight to Montreal a couple of weeks ago I loss my prescription sunglasses on one of the flights. :gaah: So I order new reading and sunglasses from Sears because that's where I got my last sets. I called yesterday and they told me the sunglasses were in but the reading glasses weren't, that's fine because all I needed for the trip was the sunglasses. I get down there today and guess what, they sent the reading glasses marked as sunglasses. So now I'm thinking I'm screwed and there's nothing I can do about it now seeing I'm leaving in the morning. I didn't get mad and I didn't pitch a fit, I guess I just looked bummed. So I get ready to leave and the gal tells me she'll run them down to Lens Crafters on her lunch break and have them tented there for me. I didn't even know they could do that and I was very thankful that she did that for me on her own. I came back about an hour later and they were done and they look great. She thanked me for being so nice about the mixup and I thanked her for going out of her way to help me out. They'll be getting all my glasses sales from here out. I'm ready to roll to Sturgis with some new shades :doorag:

I'm thinking she was more scared of this famous biker dude calling up all his friends for a Spyder invasion at Sears! :-)

:firstplace: Thanks Lamont! You have once again re-affirmed my belief that there's a lot of good folks out there who'll go out of their way to help another decent human being... :2thumbs:
I'm telling my Missus to go get her specs at Sears!

Most of the time it pays to just be nice instead of throwing a fit when nothing can be done anyway. Things have a way of working out like that.
