• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

it only takes a second

Some of you have heard that I was in an accident last weekend. The spyder is totalled and by the grace of God I am banged up but not broken. I believe the spyder saved my life. two things i know...i will always ride a spider and no matter how hot i will always wear a full face helmet. Thanks for all the well wishes and may your guardian angels enjoy the ride

Wow, looks like your frunk took most of the shock. Glad to see you are ok. I agree with the full face helmet-- your skin is no match for pavement.

Glad you are OK

So glad you are relatively OK.:clap: It's good to hear the safety aspect of the Spyder and your story reinforced it.

Get better soon!

Wow ! Glad to hear you are doing o.k. The right riding gear makes all the difference.
We lost 2 of our young female friends who might have survived if , They had worn a helmet. :(

I'm so glad you came out okay! Our prayers are with you!

I absolutely, whole-heatedly, agree with full-face helmets. I live in Texas, so it gets hot, but not hot enough to chance my mental capacities in a wreck! In fact, I would go a step further and say we should all be wearing DOT and SNELL certified helmets (I wear a Shoei RF1100, which has great air-flow and is certified both).

Without prying, how did the wreck happen, it looks like your front-end took the impact... did the Spyder spin, etc.? I love the Spyders and have been a proponent of it's safety, but have never experienced it's abilities in this aspect, thank God!

Again, so glad you're okay!

Prayers and Blessings

Sorry to hear about the accident, but still glad to have you around to talk about it. So many individuals take their safety equipment for granted. It's so good to hear that you are not in that category. You will heal soon to ride again.

:agree: with everyone and  for your speedy recovery. The picture and the fact that you are the one posting this should convince anyone the importance of helmets as well as riding jackets, gloves, and boots.

Thank you for posting the picture of the :spyder2: and for letting us know that you are recovering.

I do believe the :ani29: and the helmet saved you from worse. Machines can be replaced.

Please keep us informed how everything is going with you.
