• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It is going to be an adventure

The wife and I are getting ready to start her first cross country on the RT. We will be riding two up for almost 2900 miles. We will be headed out on Wednesday around 5:00 AM and headed to either Springfield, MO or Trinity, TX. We have yet decided on what direction first. It is all depending on when we are getting the 2014. I know we will be in TX on Saturday so that might be the direction we start off in. We will be running the SPOT Tracker the entire way if anyone wants to follow along. I am a little worried as this will be her first. Just hope she enjoys it as much as I do. We will see.

Good luck on the trip be safe and hope both of you have a great time, I know my wife loves the Spyder the only time I get to go anywhere alone is when she is at work

Have a nice and safe trip. :lecturef_smilie:

Just remember to stay focused on your end goal and don't get tempted to wander around to much, so you don't get stranded and/or deviate from your original plan too much.

ADVENTURE

Wow, when you mentioned Trinity, TX it reminded me of my Spyder trip to Crockett, TX in June for a buddies reunion. Was born in Crockett and have been to Trinity many times. Hopefully your trip will be much cooler. I was riding in the 90's on my trip llast June. Be safe and have fun!

Good luck..!

may your journey be a great one. Be safe and enjoy all the sights along the way..!!

While in TX

I plan on locating this and taking a picture of it with my Spyder. It is located in Trinity, TX

Just your regular, neighborhood Hellraiser Pinhead. It's the work of artist Jim Robertson -- commissioned and originally displayed elsewhere, the 21-ft. tall sculpture, "Wildman," was inspired by an 18th century German costume.

Sounds like you in for a great trip. Ride safe and keep an eye on weather systems this time of year. You don't want to get caught in a storm like they had in Rapid City, SD.

So it looks like we are headed to TX First. We will be leaving Jacksonville, NC and traveling through Lumberton NC, Camden SC, Augusta GA, Covington GA, Birmingham AL, Livingston AL, and spending the night around Meridian MS. Then headed out again traveling through Newton MS, Edwards MS, Monroe LA, Shreveport LA, Carthridge TX, Lufkin TX and arrive in Trinity TX.

This will cover the first 2 days of our trip

Have a Safe and worry free ride. From the map looks like you will go through Greenville, Texas. If you need anything, great dealer and service there at Louis Powersports.
Danny the service manager can get you taken care of. Open Monday through Saturday.

Stopped for a quick bite to eat. Pretty happy with the MPG riding two up.
