• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It happened on Friday

One of the first things I looked at was the tires, and was happy with your choices.

I'll be anxious to see how the rear tire does for you. I liked it for the short time I had it on. My tire dealer has had great success with that tire(on cars).

I am also interested it how it performs as I think it will be a better choice for the F3. First thing I have to do is make sure it is at 18# pressure as I have found that to work the best with a car tire.

Well it finally happened!

We have become a two Spyder family. We purchase a 2015 F3 SM6 with 23,000 miles this will be mine as Kathy will take over the RT. The F3 fits me better due to the feet forward position. The last owner did some cosmetic upgrades, and I am adding heated grips and a windshield. Took it for a short ride Friday - would have done longer if it was above 40. It rode great and love the power!

Can you tell by the picture I am happy?

:congrats: on your new F3!!!

Yes. Dealer gets it for consignment sale in March. No takers at $11K--what a shame. Linda will inherit the 2014 1330. I will ride the Vulcan and also the 1330 from time to time.

Going to move to Arkansas next year. That may bring another :ani29: or not into the mix. :bbq::bbq:

I'm sure Linda will like that bigger engine in the '14.

But do tell about Ark. an another Spyder! :dontknow:

OK: Here goes...

Linda is already driving the 2014 and likes it a lot. Since I bought the Vulcan, I really do not need three motorcycles. I can still only ride one at a time. :roflblack:

Alaska is a beautiful state. It's the cost of living that hurts many retirees. I am down to a part time teaching gig (which suppliments the SS and 401k). Brother lives in AR and I can buy twice the house at about half the money, ride most of the year, and afford the cost of living much better. The handwriting is kind of on the wall. This year, we will put everthing in order, next year (if the house sells), time to hit the road for points South.

Another :spyder2: in the future will depend on what BRP comes out with--unless I decide to buy another RT used. Right now, I am enjoying both worlds of riding. The interesting part will be shipping two bikes, at least, to the lower 48 and about 4,000 miles.

Sorry about the hijack PW--but I am taking your like of the question as one post to explain.

Any other questions--please send a PM.

UNHIJACK.

Thanks Joe, but now on a fixed income so a F4 windshield will have to be it for awhile (assuming we get a return from taxes). Although Kathy asked why I get to spend it since she is getting the old Spyder with more miles. I told her that it maybe 1 year older, but it is fully Farkled out.:ohyea:

sway bar

Hey Les, I don't know if Caswells told you, but I upgraded the sway bar to a 2015 RT bar. I think it was a nice improvement over stock!
Also, the rear shock is the stock shock that came on the bike. It's practically new!(probably 400 miles) I had the 2-up shock on it when I had it, because as you know, we did a lot of 2-up riding.

Mike,

Thanks for letting me know as I was going to install my 14 RT bar on it. I was going to ask about the rear shock. Did you put that 2up on your Daytona?

Yes I did, but think I'd like to find a better option for our 2-up riding. It works, but it could be better.(I'm not a a little guy like you)😉
